Goodness guys--he wrote the song! Let him be as creative as he wants to be for the glory of Jesus! (Especially in Jerusalem Israel where this particular video was taken!)
asakura810 - for the most part, you are exactly right. David has taken a well-known song and adapted it to today's culture. Not all will like it in the same way that not all liked We Will Dance when it first was recorded in the sounds of the culture then. Is it really worship? PrimeWriter has given an excellent response.
in my opinion worship is about the heart so it doesn't matter if you have 'too many' instruments or not enough...if you're heart is focused on praising Jesus Christ and you are repenting of sin...exalting Christ in your life..then worship him in the way you feel comfortable- for me...this is exactly the way I choose to worship...but if it doesn't work for you then that's fine..just as long as you worship Jesus Christ from your heart, daily repent of your sins, and make Him Lord of your life-
is this really worship?? what i can hear is like a worldly song with an angelic lyrics.. Oh I love your song David Ruis .. that "we will dance" in the vineyard collection... but this.. not a million chance i would like this
@bigfishmustfry I meant the amount of times this song is sung...over and over and over in churches. We just need more variety and more innovative music. BTW this video is excellent...I love their style and freedom>
@earthalien77 - I was adding a little humorous banter for your consumption.
As far as worship, it is a style thing. If you do "techno" style or one of its permutations, repetitiveness is desireable. God's grace to the believer that all music forms are open for musical worship. One must be aware that Father can be picky about worship offerings at times (Cain's turnip offering vs. Abel's lamb). I myself cannot tolerate UnderOath, but it is not my decision what is good worship music.

IMO, this song is WAY OVERDONE.

@earthalien77 - And Father will say "Well done thou good & faithful servant."
Way overdone as in burnt offering & sacrifice. Father also receives raw worship. I am not sure He likes it medium. ;c)
