@ntyler37 I do believe it's heighten levels of Estrogen. That is what is in high levels when the new eggs come out of the phelopean tubes. The old egg is released from the Uterine wall. Along with the very start of the placenta. Really it's just a period for the cow. After the Estrogen starts to diminish Progesterone heightens and that's what allows the new egg to attach to the Uterine wall. But the egg needs to be fertilized just before it even makes it to the Uterus.
