Thats cool! to all the people dissing him for not using gravity, Do some reasearch first! it is still a street-luge, it rides and handles like any other luge out there it just goes a hell of alot faster. It still carrys the inherrent dangers of a high-speed luge such as getting the speed-wobbles and eating S***, although granted there are no corners which is the biggest challange of lugeing.

i agree with the last few. i use to luge, and street luge is about gravity and hills. When i luged, we did it at night for less traffic.  We didn't have bails of hay at the corners (but i'm not saying you shouldn't). Put wings on your board, then you could be the first aerial luge.

They would need to find the steepest hill in the world that can be hit with a luge. This would be the only FAIR way to measure a speed run.

cool....but it is not street luge. It is rocket luge. As soon as you ad power, the sould of street luge is GONE. So call it what it is...ROCKET Luge. You would not strap a jet engine to a hang glider and call it jet powered hang gliding...it would be a JET...even if it does not look like a standard jet. Hang gliding is hang GLIDING...gravity and wind. There IS a very big difference between motored/jetted and NON. We need to remember that. Gravity sports are NOT this.

Imagine a hang glider with a jet on it unmodified except for the jet, and think how fast that would go before it breaks up and you die, thats why this is impressive.

No gravity...no maintainable angle of attack...equaling no control and no 'free' flight. HG design must honor gravity(why you hang beneath the glider)If you keep everything else and get rid of gravity you may as well not take that glider out of the bag.
