  • so can parkour be a major or class or a way to get in college now

  • I love the idea of an ambassador, bringing positive attention to campus, demonstrating techniques and emphasizing safety and focus on basics all with respect.... work with the university not against it! It is so much about the first impression and representing the parkour community, but visitors training on a new campus must be conscious of these rules, guidelines, respect and relationships built by the "home team" group on campus... you should leave a location like you were never there!

  • This is a great video for many reasons. I love how you talk about the respect needed not only towards authority but also respect the places you train. We need more groups to share how they deal with administration and talk about the importance of the relationship as you do in this video. We need more groups to share their advice and experience in how to approach administration! This video has a great message and should be passed along to every school and every leader. Keep it up!

  • in Georgia the university (UGA) parkour is very accepted they even have a team :D

  • great work guys, We hold the same values for Arizona State University. PK9K has done an excellent job with working with the police there. Set the example by living the example

  • i love my school :D

  • I hate people that think parkour is about breaking rules, If anything it should be about discipline and think of your actions.

  • and STAY POSITIVE! lol

  • Why does what they're saying have to apply only to florida university. People who train should be like this whatever the environment.

  • Good message, and i agree with it , you repect the people who work in those place you train, and you should respect the authorities. I know that a lot of campuses are more afraid of people getting hurt doing this and sueing them which is a lot of the reason they don't want certain things done like Roof jumping lol. Though at the same time i do think that Free running was born to create and i would really hate to be held down on creativity due to a lot of rules. glad it worked for them.

  • :D YES! The more Accepted with Authorities we have the more Parkour & Freerunning will be Accepted everywhere! Have respect brothers & sisters, train safe, and God Bless you all. Enjoy the playground! =)

  • Our club works very closely with our university as well and as long as you establish a good relationship with them from the get go, they have always been willing to work with us.

  • derekkk

  • Nothing but respect for them, I have bin trying to make it ok where I live , talking to city hall, and trying to get ok from building owners but they could all care less, it's seems like anything we do is a liability issue even though sports like foot ball are just as dangerous. I'm so happy to hear they his guys could do it just gives me hope that I can.

  • lol i kno both of these guys awesome people..and there msg is completely TRUE....:)

  • @guitarfreakcjs Team I'm in train a lot around a park where there's a ton of young kids so we try to keep the language down. We also move on with little to no problem if we're asked to. Everything Derek and Spencer said is true though

  • AND STAY POSITIVE!

  • great job=)

  • im 100st

  • ^_^ i like this!!

  • im so happy for you guys!! its the same with skateboarding, i wish it was legal in most properties

  • lol, ive got a week worth of detentions because i did a backflip on school grounds :L it was on grass aswell XD and i landed it perfectly fine :P Health + Safety BS!

  • lol im planning on attending there

  • lol at the comments. good job on getting it accepted though.

  • I'm 36st too.

  • I'm 35st

  • I really like the idea of this especcialy because this makes that parkour doesn't get a bad name! But usualy i don't ask if i can train somewhere but with that comes i don't train at campuses just in general spots so i don't really need to get premission i gues right?

  • Lawl at related vids..

  • I just hate when security guards tell us to leave, I don't make a big deal about it and I just walk away, but I always wonder what we did wrong.

I have to make a deal with the people that own some of my favorite spots, cuz I am tired of picking up broken glass and needles for 15 minutes just to get thrown away 2 minutes later

  • I've been trying to do this with City hall where I live. Unfortunately I'm not getting a warm reception. We've even been staying off city property completely until they give us the green light. Yet they won't even talk to me. Congrats to these guys for pulling it off, I hope I can get my city to open up to the idea.

  • lucky...

  • Both great guys and they have a great community there in Miami that I got to be a small part of in May 2011 for the Miami CommUNITY Jam!

  • thanks :D

  • k... now to bring Parkour to my school!! hahahah! :D

  • this is how my group and i have handled things since i first joined it, and now they love us at various universities as well. having business cards also helped alot, vista print FTW

  • this is very inspriring as afellow traceur

  • I still like saying fuck the police. But this has been good. We've had troubles with the security in the campus here at our local uni.

  • Great stuff here. Really, really inspirational

  • Very awesome. I respect these guys, love the way they brought so much responsibility to this fun sport.

  • We all Love you Epic

  • Great job!

  • Good job.

  • Hopefully everyone who saw this will no longer think "F the police! Live free run free 4ever!!!" That's NOT what it's about.

  • @caGh0s7 I am anything... When I'm high...

  • Omisnap! Time for a transfer

  • Very inspirational... There are a ton of videos I've seen on Youtube about this certain subject that really don't explain how I should correctly approach officers or guards with the right mindset. This video, on the other hand, has. It shows that you need to be respectful when approached and how to implement the true idea of Parkour into that.
