Nice work bro..I applied the same settings, but do you know why it takes time to load the home screen wall paper once I unlock the phone. There is a delay for 2-3 seconds while it loads in no time for you in the video.

@pizetamatija Interesting.. well of course you can do it in portrait, just allow auto rotate.. just out of interest, why do people like potrait so much?

All TV's computers laptops etc are in 16:9 landscape but just because mobile phones evolved from old nokias, people stick with using them in potrait haha. I just want to see your view :)

@coldfustion Kinda already ran into one, I downloaded the latest stable version of Cyanogenmod from the official Cyanogenmod website . Then I put it onto my SD-card and when I tried to flash it in it just aborted install because it couldn't find the update.zip file on the SD-card even though I did rename the downloaded zip file to update.zip. Now I checked with Astro File Viewer the path for the zip and it's /mnt/sdcard/update.zip. It should work, right? :O

@coldfustion Never mind, fixed it already. Disabled fast boot and just renamed the file into just plain "update". Probably the renaming did the trick, currently the cyanogen is booting up on my DHD:)

@khingdomable In ADW EX settings there should be a option for "screen orientation" select it and chose "landscape" I hope that helps.

Random tip for XDA'ers: You can get a similar effect with a Sense ROM by downloading a Desire Z ROM (Landscape Sense). I loved ColdFustion's design but I missed certain widgets too much, and also struggled with battery life and random stutters. Still, absolutely love what you did ColdFustion.

There's one on XDA SD ROMS, called Desire DL, which does the job amazingly

@raicho20 ok to answer the first q, i used Clk 150 mb if i remember correctly (was a while ago) for the second question, the number 1 thing i would say would have to be, DON'T HAVE TOO MANY WIDGETS (or large ones anyway) that slows down the phone like crazy (millions of icons are perfectly fine)

you know what dude what you did is awesome! but im using my hd2 and downloaded the rom and got the adw ex or whatever and for some reason when i use tha version of adw it wont actually change pictures in the multipic wallpaper app. but if i use the free version of adw that comes witht he rom. having a really hard time understanding whats going on please help.

@de50aemr I had the same issue. You need to go to the ADW menu and search for an option called: Enable scrolling Background, or something... You need to check that and then the multi picture live wallpaper effect will work... :)

@DoronTheou Hey dude, unfortunately that happens with me too, I think we just have to wait for an update for that screen rotate app.. I usually just leave it locked in landscape so it's not really an issue for myself.

Cyanogen settings > display > check only 90 degrees

ADW settings > Home orientation > auto/sensor

Ripple Settings > fix horizontal

Cyanogen settings > Tablet tweaks > disable lockscreen

and of course landscape on orientation lock

This configuration works for me, im not sure if it is all necessary - but this combo has no lag.

@ibnYusrat Issue is that many of these are paid-for apps. However someone might find it possible to make a basic ROM with ADW + Multi Wallpapers to give you the basics up-and-running. Then you get the choice with the rest of the tweaks, such as Beautiful Widgets etc. etc.

Or, if you only want ADW to be locked in landscape and not your other apps:

ADW Settings > UI Settings > Screen Preferences > Home Orientation > Landscape

I think this is much better than getting a separate app :)

You can just use the orientation toggle in CM7 instead of downloading an extra app.

Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Display > Make sure only 90 Degrees is checked.

I got so certain it was to do that my CM7 mod had ADW built in and was clasing with Ex that I skipped some obvious options! Thankyou - by the end of the day our HD2 will be brothers!!

Mate I love this set-up so much. I'm always flashing dozens of ROMs for my HD2 and it's only been in the last month I found myself getting bored of the options, to the extent I was getting tempted to get a pointless 2yr contract for the sake of a Sensation or Galaxy SII, even though neither are really "blown-away" updates. Now I'm just going to copy your set-up exactly. So beautiful, thanks for the walk-through. PS I LOL'd so hard at the iPhone dig at the end :)
