  • Obviously this song is meant to be done by Dio, but Joe does a pretty good job with it. The add libbing at the end is very Dio-esq, as Dio would often interject lines on the spot to the song. It is certainly leagues better than Graham Bonnet doing the song!

  • if you even say one thing bad about this singer, than you hate metal

  • GREAT BEST VERSION EVER

  • Ritchie Blackmore, the GREATEST guitar player on earth!!!!!

  • I love Dio but Joe does a great job here.

  • of course Turner can't sing it like Dio! But he's doing a great job anyway

  • With all my love to Joe Lynn I must confess that this version of the song sounds like nonsence. R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio, the world got empty without your fantastic voice

  • shambles

  • I LOVE JOE'S INTERPRETATION OF THIS SONG!

    I PREFER IT TO DIOS.

  • Great band, nice rendition of the song. Would've been better if JLT had held back a little on his interpretation of what should be sung. IMO, best version was from 'On Stage'

  • Eines der Geilsten Rockstücke der vergangenen 50 Jahre typisch Richie und Danke dafür !!!

  • MASTER CLASS !! 3:36 solo,pure magic and feeling...

  • Turner was ok for the more commercial stuff like I surrender and Stone cold etc. However, Dio has his name tattood on this song. Nobody will sing it like him.

  • sorry but Turner should probably go and sing to a casino Las Vegas or a cruise ship...

  • To all those who talking bullshit in here!!:

People, even you fools among them, loved this masterpiece with Ronnie crying it!!

No lies can change that even if you try as hard as you can!!

Show some respect to the Death of this Dark Angel!!

    Long Live Ronnie James Dio!!

  • Oh dear. Joe Lynn Turner does look like a twat doesn't he. What the heck is he trying to do?

I'm afraid that Catch The Rainbow can only be sung by Ronnie James Dio.

Turner's version is quite painful, I'd rather just hear an instrumental version from Blackmore. Or better still, the beast himself RJD :)

  • @moonwalkedd, I like RJD, but the best live version without a doubt is with Graham Bonnet at The Monsters of Rock concert of 1980

  • you can't understand.

Catch The Rainbow is RITCHIE BLACKMORE in any case.

  • Great version with Joe ..

  • Феноменальное гитарное исполнение, начиная с 3:38. Браво, маэстро!

  • Вот дядька Ричи Черномор - вот это ФАНТАСТИКА!)))

  • who does the backing vocals?

  • graham bonnett is fantastic !

joe lynn turner is very stupid and her sing sucks

  • yup. Catch the rainbow sucks.... Joe can't sing it. He's much worse than other Rainbow singers

  • The body is missing it's soul w/o Dio.

  • Joe Lynn Turner can never replace either Gillan or Dio. Trying to sing their songs is enough proof.

  • Much better than Graham Bonnett.

  • well may be but he must have somthink.

judge u self before u jude others

  • Jolene really looks (and sings) like a twat. Where's Dio Almighty when we need Him?

  • seen ritchie in purole and rainbow +blackmores night great player performer.

  • love them .............

  • Uno dei brani più belli di Master Blackmore

  • Uh, without Dio singing it, it's not the real song.

  • true that this song is great in its own right

  • low quality seems more higher quality than high quality

  • It's just ain't Dio' s masterpiece ...it has nothing to do with it..

  • this video has greatest solo on catch the rainbow. Richie Blackmore's a god! \,,/

  • Great song, great band

  • brilliant

  • Sorry, but I stopped this at 02.16. What is this George related?
