it will not void the warranty if they dont know about the jailbreaking part. yu could break the ipod and if they cant get through the ipod home screen and see installer or cydia, they will not know that yu jailbroke the ipod and therefore, they'll take it and give you a new one from the warranty. its happened to me twice rofls.
