Every single atheist that I know personally is very hostile and very ignorant. They don't like to learn anything for themselves, they just praise 'great minds' (aka anyone who says what they like to hear about science, religion, etc) and are too lazy to learn/verify anything for themselves.
Yes, EVERY atheist I know, without exception. And yet I know better than to assume atheism has anything to do with being lazy, hostile or ignorant or believe most atheists are or often are or whatever..
And likewise of course there are lots of closed minded people that say they are Christians (and of all sorts of characteristics) but people criticize them more for it because they go and claim to have the truth before they've learned the first thing about actual biblical Christianity, often.
Most of the criticism that Christianity has to deal with is likely a result of people that call themselves Christian and simply aren't, not because of how ;evil' atheists are or something lol.
As an atheist I appreciate your viewpoint. You appear to take responsibility for yourself.
My greatest concern re christians is that they are often close minded and don't seek evidence, but rather accept unverifiable dogma rather than think critically about issues in their lives. I am glad you have thought about it.
People in general are often closed minded and too lazy to look for evidence of anything for themselves, and enjoy having others to do their thinking for them. Has nothing to do with being Christian. Or this or that.
Christianism came, killed more than 10 millions, destroyed one beautiful belief like Paganism and is trying to retire true nature from our world and trying to explain unexplained facts with the existence of a ridiculous being. Stupid Religion that has destroyd so many beautiful countries with its churches and so beautiful other forms of religion with its ignorance.
Think about it.....a bunch of power hungry people get together and utilize people's religion as an excuse to say they have the authority of God to do this/that, kill this or that group of people, take this land, demand money from church-goers. Of course somebody has done this in history, it's a brilliant way to control people. And it will continue to happen.
It is NOT biblical Christianity that causes this kind of brutality, it's human beings. Sick ones. And smart ones.

the reality they don't know what they believing in, or don't even read the scriptures. People can get fooled easily that's why we need to read the scriptures. I like the idea that u backed up your believe with bible scriptures

i agree that we as humans naturally stereotype and put people into categories, but thats where the brain kicks in. we need to realize that our minds do work like that so that we can see past the prejudgments and preconceptions we have.
