How about adding recent history and current events to your list of things to read. I'm sure you the myth that Israel was created by Jews just storming in and pushing the poor arabs out of their homes. This is not the case. The Jews lived their already, and they were constantly harrassed by arabs. When Israel was created most of the arabs left willingly, while every jew in arab lands was forced to leave. There were more jews expelled after the 1948 war than arabs.

in 1948 when the UN partitioned the land, the areas that had a jewish majority were to be made Israel, and the areas that had an arab majority, palestine. This did not satisfy the arabs? why? They attacked the Jews with a well known and documented goal, "to push them into the sea", and they failed. Because the Jews won they pushed back and the arabs have to live with losing their land, that's what happens when you start wars and can't finish. If the arabs had won there would be no jews left

1. The holocaust had nothing to do with the creation of Israel. It pushed the notion that the Jews deserved a safe haven, but zionism existed much earlier than the holocaust (you sound like ahmadinejad)

Comparing the number of deaths on 9/11 to the number of deaths in Iraq is like comparing the score of an NBA basketball game to an MLS soccer game to an. The aim has never been to kill civilians. The ensuing occupation has seen thousands and thousands of civilian deaths, but not at the hands of British or US troops.
