have you noticed that the stabilization does not work with this app? regular iphone camera app is very steady, but when using filmic it becomes very jittery.
@ikicaq Stabilization works on my iPhone with Filmic Pro. One way to tell is the footage gets cropped when playing back the footage. I wish I could turn off stabilization because it lowers the quality of the footage and just use the proper equipment to stead the shot.
Metalliholic I spoke breifly about the reticle and forgot to show what they do :-(
But for anyone who reads this.
none: The focus and exposer cant be locked on specific subjects in the shot.
Single only:
Combines both focus and exposure on one reticle letting you to lock on a specific subject.
Double:
Gives you two reticles and this allows you to focus on one subject and lock it and then get the right exposer with the other reticle and lock it. This is what I always use.
RoeLuv1 thanks for your question. Check out my other videos on what I use for tripods and dolly. I am just using DIY stuff with the iPone. And as far as color grading their is not much for video but you can use Movie Looks but it only will let you add a look to the video not color correct.
What type of dolly/tripod are you using? (if any) And are there any color grading apps for the iphone?, or will i have to do that on desktop? thanks in advance
You will always get that zoomed in look because the still picture mode is 8 mega pixel which is way larger then 1080 video mode. At least this is what I think is going on I could be wrong Anyway all apps get that zoomed in look in video mode.
does this app help get rid of the annoying change of FOV when switching from Photo to Video mode? Thats about the only thing I was seriously mad about when I found it out. When Recording Video on the Iphone 4S it looks like it is waaaay zoomed in. Guess that is caused by moving the croping area according to the gyro readout to to an "antishake" function I.E. movie stabilisation...but would soooo good to be able to turn it off if the user wants to!
Theultamtefly i did not notice that Filmic Pro recored in stereo because i record audio on an external device. I am waiting on a audio cable in the mail and will then do some audio test. Thanks for the tip.
Awesome tutorial.

@TrinityFXmg Did you notice, that when you record with Filmic, that the sound ain't mono, it's stereo? I find that quite impressive. :)
