In California, if a poor person gets sick, they go to an emergency room. That is a very expensive way to provide health care.
In every other Western nation in the world, health care is provided for poor people in a much more efficient way. Call it "socialism" if you want. It is just LESS COSTLY, with BETTER OUTCOMES.

(The post office, Haiti relief, recycling,,etc.) In Louisiana, the poor get free health care already. It is provided through the University system. I think that our only hope is for the working stiffs who are getting to screwed, to use their vote and their dollars to even the playing field a little in their favor. I always try to shop locally, at small businesses, farmers markets, etc. And I vote for people who (in their voting record) fight huge monopolistic corporations, and try to solve some of the problems of the middle class. The reason that allowing the purchase of insurance across state lines is a REALLY BAD IDEA, is because it causes a "race to the bottom." The state with the LEAST regulation (allows the insurance company to make the MOST profits, while providing the SHITTIEST COVERAGE,) will get all the business. Why would any company have its headquarters in Calif, when they can move to LA and make a killing?

There are 2 things that effect the price of anything - supply and demand. And increasing the supply can bring the price down.

In California, if a poor person gets sick, they go to an emergency room. That is a very expensive way to provide health care.
In every other Western nation in the world, health care is provided for poor people in a much more efficient way. Call it "socialism" if you want. It is just LESS COSTLY, with BETTER OUTCOMES.

Yeah cause the government is so efficient at everything else. The private sector outshines them at every turn. (The post office, Haiti relief, recycling,,etc.) In Louisiana, the poor get free health care already. It is provided through the University system. There is no way we should force people to buy health care if they don't want it, especially when there are alternatives to make it cheaper and more efficient for everybody using the free trade. This has been proven throughout history.

We have gone FAR beyond that at this point. Why, for example, should I be restricted to buying insurance only in my state? That is a STUPID law. No reason for it. That said I have to say, it doesn't matter if they are responsible, it only matters that they have competition. Morals are a personal issue, but competition (in theory) will keep the companies honest. I promise, it would be better if the government (Republican and Democrat) didn't basically prop them all up. I always try to shop locally, at small businesses, farmers markets, etc. And I vote for people who (in their voting record) fight huge monopolistic corporations, and try to solve some of the problems of the middle class. I see Democrats doing that more -- but not perfect for sure.

The reason that allowing the purchase of insurance across state lines is a REALLY BAD IDEA, is because it causes a "race to the bottom." The state with the LEAST regulation (allows the insurance company to make the MOST profits, while providing the SHITTIEST COVERAGE,) will get all the business. Why would any company have its headquarters in Calif, when they can move to LA and make a killing?
And the consumer will have NO CHOICES. Because CHOICES are BAD FOR PROFITS.

You really need to read more if you believe what you have been told. White neighborhoods are drug infested? Or does it make you feel better about yourself to try and convince yourself and peers that this is true? Educate yourself, then acknowledge what you learn. Oh, cocaine was mostly used by whites, it was considered an upper class drug, but crack is mostly used by blacks, everyone knows that. And I won't even mention the heroin and blunt usage!

I'm not sure if I said white neighborhoods are drug infested. Because I know that while whites decry inner city crime and pretend to be clean, they're as high behind closed doors as anyone else. The difference is with regard to drugs, blacks tend to do in public what they do in pvt while whites pretend to be angels. Look at your King the fatso Rush. Personally I've never used or seen anyone use drugs in public but by public I meant they don't go to extra lengths to hide what they R doing, unlike whites. I didn't mean that they sit in public parks and smoke crack ( although there may be some who do it). Besides the cops tend to go after blacks more often.

i forget what specific statistic mentioned this, but supposedly whites do more drugs than blacks..... the only thing is that blacks get jailed for it more often..
it makes sense though... where i live, drugs are sold in ghettos, public residential areas, low-cost apartment complex, etc.. but it's the rich upper class people (usually white) in their bmw's who take a trip down to the ghetto to cop some weed or coke..
