今日, 發覺我愛嘅原來真係妳。但係, 當我發現嘅時後, 原來妳已經離我很遠。

當年我唔識懂欣賞妳嘅好, 只係覺得佢地好傻。

I grew up in the 90s, but I understand what you're saying perfectly. HK is still great, but the way some of the not so pleasant aspects of mainland has leaked in is sad.... it feels like HK's culture is diluted a little bit everyday =/

I also miss the Hong Kong in the 70s and the 80s during which I grew up. I am not sure whether today's HK is less dynamic or harmonious than those days because of the "flood of mainlanders under the communist's colonial rule" though. I just think that things that are in the days of our growing up are the most memorable.
