You know what would be really cool? If at the end of the tourist show they'd get out a really big hoop and hold it up, and from some hallway a young monk would come in running and _he_ would jump through that hoop!

that was cute and funny. i don't know why i thought it was funny but it is. so cute. i want to train my cat to do that. but he's too lazy. all he ever does is sleep.

If we were only to go to countries who's governments had a clear record, we wouldn't go ANYWHERE. I can understand someone traveling in an effort to understand the world and it's people. Where would you suggest people travel to, hmmm?

this monastery, on Inle lake, has the most beautiful collection of "shan" buddha statues... but the tourists only see those jumping cats . This makes me sad ... sorry.
