I'm sorry you've had to go through all of this. My husband are in the middle of a PCS from HAAF to Ft. Lee, VA. Last month I drove up to Virginia and found a house for us to stay in thinking that a move from one house to another would be easier. I was totally wrong!! We have had so many issues with the moving company it's ridiculous! We are already stressed enough as it is and still not knowing when our household goods will arrive is making it worse!
Oh wow... My head hurt just listening to all that.. (not u) just the process. My boyfriend wants me and our daughter to go with him in schoffield barracks. But I'm probably taking my 3 sons from a prior marriage, but now I'm freaking out about the process and trouble they'll put me through! How bad is it really with them to send a family over there?
I am sorry girl!!! I have gone around circles with the housing office where I am at too, I spent almost 60 days in a hotel because housing dropped the ball!!! I made the best of those days but I swear if that ever happens again...someone will hear about it!! Best of luck with everything and we are here for you always!!
im pcsing in 3 weeks and i was able to find out that the airlines i am flying will give 2 complimentary baggages for military with orders. the just told me to bring my orders and military id so hopefully it will go smooth when i leave next month.the other plane that i transfer to i get 3 bags so im a bit bummed about that but ill take what ever i can.
This is just a suggestion , but can you send the extra bags by mail and hold them for pick up at the post office nearest the base. Then when you arrive you can just pick up the bags. May be cheaper than paying for all those bags on a flight. I mailed a tote of clothes from Texas to Tennessee and they made it the same day I did.
