if you like this video you should check out the video i just posted. its an oil painting that is 4 ft by 6 ft. i worked on it for 5 months. so please check it out and let me know what you think of the art piece. the video is called - monumental oil painting-from start to finish.
Yes... Cause I'm curious to why the portraits arent on canvas. Everyone I looked at that uses pastels, they use some type of paper so I'm just wondering if canvas could be used.
i would assume you could there's no law that says you can't i suppose , as long as the surface has some texture you should be okay give it a try and see how it goes .
i agree with taht method.i mean it dosent show you do it step by step so you can learn it for your self in stead they had done it off the camra and then put in the camra when its done that part how do u spect to learn if the dont teach step by step.
you did a nice job but i think it would have been more fun to watch u draw it in a video. it had a great outcome and i envy u were able to go from black and white to color.
Great Work! But one comment if I may...I think you need to fix the tip of the nose and nostrils a little bit more. The left shadowy side of the nose needs to be less stood out, if you see what I mean. Thanks
Another beautiful picture Kevin. I like the way you are able to interpret a b/w photo in colour. I tried to do that with my sister's photo but ended up doing a sepia watercolour tonal wash painting... have you looked at that one?
Excellent job. May i ask how you fixed the eye as i also make this mistake in my portraiture work and never know how to fix it.

Very Nice.. I'm wondering does anyone use canvas to paint with pastels. I've noticed a lot of people just use the paper. Is there a reason for that?
oliivy1977 1 year ago
are you asking can pastels be used on a canvas board that oils and acrylics are used on ?

The lighiting is off. The original has it from a different angle.
This doesn't have anything to do with the drawing but the music is grocery-store music and its terrible.
