This looks awesome, but as in alot of other current games the movements are just a little too quick and jerky. Doesn't seem to take weight of limbs, muscle reaction time, etc. into account. But stunning, visually. Thanks for the vid.
Played this a bit just now and the graphics were gorgeous. I spent ages just looking at the beautiful surroundings and actually enjoyed that more than the playing part itself. Dunno if it's just me being new with playing TR on the PC, but the controls seemed a bit off at times. I had to redo simple stuff many times due to controls being weird and combat was just plain awful.
I played this today! On my bros 360. Unfortuanly I won't be getting it any time soon :{ When I do get it I will probably get it for ps2 cuz that system is a classic (in comparision to all the NEWER ones) What I like about 360 is the controls are the same, for istance, the jump button on 360 is the same as ps2; the shoot button ect. However the 360 controls are to big and heavy in my hands haha I'm lazy :P
Sometimes you may press the wrong key. I actually edited that movie a bit because I pressed the wrong keys and made stupid mistakes. But other than that, it's ok. Might just get a little confusing at times. You can always plug in a controller though.
i much preferred the PS2 version of Anniversary. i am getting this on 360. WASD just doesnt have that fluidity, and you often press the wrong keys cos a keyboard is too cluttered for this kind of game. although, i do prefer FPS and RTS games on PC mostly. thanks for uploading.
some games are just better on some platforms. i wouldnt play Red Alert 3 on 360, i wouldn't play Prince of Persia (Ubisoft ones) on PC and i'd play COD4 or NFS on either. i have tons and tons of games for PC, PS1, PS2 and 360, so i dont have any bias
right.. that's true.. though PC is way superior above all.. i hope you're aware you can use gamepads on pc.. specially xbox 360 controller that i've been using.. so technically.. PC=PS3+XBOX360+OTHERPLATFORMS
fine i'l give you that. it's keyboard vs. controller then. there's also the fact that there's requirements to meet when it comes to PC, and that PC becomes obsolete a lot faster
i agree. but then again, there are options to tone it down if in case your system lacks enough power to run the game. pc is expensive not if you shop the right hardware and custom build yourself. i have my graphics nvidia 8800 running for 2 years now. i know it still suppports next-gen games like this. anyhow, i only have my gpu to worry about. it's all about graphics nowadays.
BFG Tech nVidia 7600GToc, 3Gb DDR2 ram, Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz, Intel 945GNT motherboard, windows XP. was enough to run TRL and TRA on high specs, barely runs TRU
XFX AlphaDog 8800, 2GB RAM, Core2 Duo 2.55ghz... since last year was enough to run even crysis, assassin's creed, cod4, mass effect, grid, gow, etc.. at a smooth framerate. so logically i would still be able to run even diablo and starcraft coming out next year. not unless somebody pushed the envelope again like crysis..then im dead..
i just downloaded the tru demo for pc but after i install the game and while the pc is loading the demo my computer turns off...i don't think there is something wrong with the computer i have played both anniversary and legend with great quality...what am i doing wrong?any ideas?
Your computer may not be able to handle Underworld, or your graphics card's drivers may not be up to date. Go to your graphics card manufacturer's website (nVidia or ATI for example) and download the latest drivers for your card. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what to suggest.
I don't know what your graphics card is as you haven't listed what series it is. If it's above the 6800, then you'll be fine. But I don't know what kind of settings you'll be able to get, but it should run fine. Try the demo, that'll tell you.
I'm not sure what you mean. If you're asking if I press any buttons when the "Coastal Thailand" screen appears, then no, I didn't. It's just a loading screen.
