I remember watching this with my parents and feeling my face get hot with irritation. I remember my dad (who voted for bush both times, and NEVER says overly strong language in front of us) watching the tribute and suddenly saying, "What the fuck is the point of this?! And YES i did know MSNBC ran the "live" feed, like they have done every year. And yes I also get pissed at that as well. FOX also ran a show documenting when each major moment happened. Actually when you listen to his whole like 8 min take Olbermann uses the video on 9/11 for his own political gains to bash the Republican party. The video was a tribute, it honered those who helped during the crisis and honored the man who lead them. I saw nothing wrong with this video. And im not even Republican.

All of you seem to be missing the point here. I see absolutely no reason why somebody cannot use graphic images for historical or educational purposes. However, this video is different: It was shown at the RNC so people would get scared and vote for McCain. It is propaganda.
Keith would not be against these images being shown on the history channel for educational benefit. But it is because the Republicans used it so they could stay in power that Keith is outraged by it.

Olbermann is a disgrace. Bin laden started planning the 9/11 attack in 1982 and you can bet Al-Qaeda and their allies are planning the next attack, whether it happens next year or ten years from now. I was particularily interested in the "blood splattered" photos at the end...........pure theatrics at RNC....Where were these pictures from? New York? I think he means provoke an emotional reaction. But the thing is, these are POLITICAL parties. Regardless of the party that showed the clip, it could just as easily been the democrats if the thought it would help them. Before ANYTHING happens at a political convention they have people sitting around a table saying " how many points in the polls will this gain?" there is no altruism in political back rooms for either the Republicans or Democrats.
