Hayley's excellent and better than most but nobody can match the sweet, natural tones of Connie. It may be a shock for older professionals to have to compete with such a beautiful young singer without formal training but for a lot of us Connie is top.

im sorry to say bit connie comes no were near hayley . hayley is good realy good. it y she is number 1 in her field . one day connie might have a chance against here , but she dosent at moment . but i dont think conine will go the opera way, she is young and will be pulled in to kiddy rock like all other young once . lasting for a year or 2 . i would die a happy man if i could here hayley sing live .

wgr88  Take a step back ! Connie is a beautiful, beautiful little girl who I and many others I'm sure, would just love to cuddle and hug. BUT, though I really do love listening to her and watching her very lovely and innocent performance, it would be ridiculous to suggest she was a better singer than Hayley .The comparison shouldn't even be made for Gods sake. Compare Connie to other children yes, but to suggest she is better than a professional adult such as Hayley is plain daft. Sorry.

Totally agree. However i just so a video of Hayley singing ban at age 7 and the truth is there to me she definitely didn't sound any better than Connie. It will definetly be interesting to see how she develops in the coming years :)

wgr88. I have never seen anyone so obsessed with a singer. Over 300 songs favourited and all of Connie Talbot. Are you by any chance related? I think it is a bit early to judge Connie. She still sings with a young girls voice - whether she is able to develop her voice like Hayley is yet to be seen. Hayley made it by herself without the impetus of a show like BGT. What happens when Connie is no longer flavour of the month and another young star from the next BGT takes her place.

You are so naive! This is not a competition between these two singers. Besides, Hayley Westernra is New Zealands finest female singer. She has sung with some of the greatest orchestras and iintenational comtempory and opera singers, including Andrea Bocelli, and Josh Groban.

Connie is so sweet and talented but definately nowhere near the same category. Do a Hayley Westerna "search" here on Youtube.

Age has nothing to do with talent. It's the talent, or in this case, the voice. Who knows what Connie's voice will be like at Westernra's age. Right now, Connie has such a sweet and pure voice, but she is not yet in the same category as Hayley is. (She's still developing and her voice has yet to 'break' at puberty.) Otherwise, Connie would also be good enough to sing with the likes of Josh Groban and Andre Bocelli.

Connie Talbot has more talent right now then Westernra does right now again my opinion. Yes Connie is still growing and developing her Gift of music but as it stands now i still think she has the better of the two voices. To me Connie's Voice is unbeatable.

i dont think this video is intended to compare hayley westenra and connie. they're both great ppl, but remember, connie is 8 yo! she still has so much growing up to do. and i think everyone would appreciate it if u dont criticize westenra so much. she might not have been as successful worldwide, but she's inevitably a wonderful person as well. besides, they loved each other when they met, and didnt even think of the other as a rival. and connie is one of westenra's fan too.

I would describe Hayley Westenra as one of the World's top classical crossover singers, particularly in her age group.

She has a beautiful soprano voice and her wide ranging talent is awesome.

Do a search on Google and you will see 850,000 pages on the Web that reference her.
