Toboe was one of my favorite characters because he was such a sweet soul. Even crows and a little cat scared him. He couldn't have been more than the equivalent of a twleve year old when all this happened, and he died fighting for a man that wanted to kill him, and did end up killing him, even though then he didn't mean to. I love that kid.

I think that the creators of the show knew what they were doing.

They left sweet moments of this 'couple' and left the choice to the fans. I like that it can be interpreted anyway you please. They gave plenty of evidence for Fan fiction and enough so that you could almost consider them a couple, not a random pairing.

If yaoi isn’t your thing, it could be considered brother love, like that of Johnny and Dally from the Outsiders.

I like them as a couple, but whatevah :]

I have nothing against gay couples and stuff, and I'm all for yaoi/shounen-ai, but not when the characters are so attached in this way. ;o

It's almost sad to ship them when you think Toboe is just desperate to find a family, and has never met or seen anyone of his kind until Tsume arrives. D:
