He and the rest of his people have dark skin (although he himself has a sickly greenish tint on top of that), but in other respects he doesn't have sub-Saharan African features. If anything he and the other Gerudo look like a blend of the features of several different races of people on Earth. So I'd say he doesn't map directly to any one race from our world.

He can fool a twilight king, and appear himself as a "god". His personality leaves fans stunned, and reveals himself as a tragic villain in of the Zelda series. Link and Ganondorf will forever be intertwined by the triforce, and Link is haunted by an unsealed darkness for eternity, due to demise's hatred. EPIC

In wind waker, believe it or not, but he claimed that he never wished to kill Link, but only to take the triforce of courage. And a moment in ocarina of time, when link first met ganondorf, he admired his courage as link withdrew his blade. Ganondorf proves he has a personality in many moments

It's not just because he wields the triforce of power, it's also because history had a way of showing us the darker side of him, and as time passed, we learned more and more of him, and fans began to adore him. It's really a love hate thing with Ganon, because he's a huge jerk, but then again, you love the plots he twists within hyrule

However, you can't deny Ganondorf's motives in the game series.  Ganondorf, to me, is a tragic villain in the Zelda franchise. Whether fans realize it, or not, there have been various Zelda titles that potray Ganondorf differently. Even though his goal never changes, some games clarify that he either wishes to kill Link, or to spare him. He is a mystery

No one truly knows anything about this man, besides the fact that he is a member of the Gerudo tribe, born every 100 years. Why the Triforce of Power chose him, no one will ever know for sure why.

@CerberusT93 I think you're wrong there. In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the Iron Knuckle (located at the Spirit Temple) can actually take out 4 hearts with one blow. (and that's with the double defence power you get from the fairies).

1; Nintendo has that natural tendency to make the weakness(es) blatantly obvious to the point that it's almost an insult to our intelligence.

2; They never seem to do enough damage (the highest damage attack i've ever seen throughout OoT, WW and TP is 3 hearts) let alone the fact most of the attacks are easily blocked by your shield =\
