  • I have a Fender Bassman 100 watt. the cab is tall (about as tall as I am) I want to use this so i can use amplitube and my tech 21 California preamp with my bassman cabinet. the only thing i worry about is, is this pedal strong enough to work with my large cabinet in a band or live setting?

  • Neat! :) Great For taking on an airplane to do an out of tone gig without toting 300lbs of gear! Great Demo! You are the King \,,/

  • Dang Patton Oswalt bought a lot of amps with all that Ratatouille money.

  • @arglbargl You read my mind, lol.

  • Dude, you're not the "Tone King". Even if you call yourself that.

  • Could you play any softer? I can almost hear the guitar. Dude, dig into the strings like the rest of us will be doing, out in the working world. Thank you so much.

  • @abrahamdrums123 you might use a power supply

  • I'd like to get three Tech 21 Character series pedals and one of those, vox, mesa, marshall in a gig bag!

  • how loud would it get pushing bass freq on a 115 cab or 212? enough to contend with my tc elec. bg500 on decibels?

  • Hi! I am looking for a compact poweramp to use with my POD HD 500. I wonder if the 44 Magnum will do this job. Thanks!

  • @Pianoblacks Would I place an overdrive pedal before or after the Electro-Harmonix 44 Magnum power amp ? What about distortion ?

  • @electropopriot i guess it would work good, although im not sure, i was asking the same question.

  • Ok... i dont understand what power amps do (from what i can tell is they will boost the power of a amp)...so if i put my peavy vypyr 15 watt amp through this then this through my 4X12 cab will it be gigable

  • @xom400 the power amp is the last step in the amplification process before the speakers. you can plug this pedal directly into a speaker cabinet as long as the amp can handle the specifics of this pedal. it would have to be an 8 ohm cabinet i believe.

  • @cardsfan3 8ohm or 16ohm

  • @xom400 Oh god... please don't do that. You'll fry either of them...

  • @xom400 A power amp is just the volume, sound producing, part of a amp, for the most part. The preamp is where the tone comes from, mostly. Your Peavey has 15 watts that the poweramp produces while your tone and amp models come from the preamp, a dsp one at that. -PK

  • @pastorkev777 so if i put the output of my peavy into the input of th power amp could i power the 4x12

  • @xom400 No it will damage one if not both amps because the input of the EH is not a load bearing one, if the amp had a slave out you could do this. It would be better to buy the Magnum and a multieffects unit then put the Magnum into a 4x12. The Peavey you have is somewhat gigable if it is miked. If the Peavey has a speaker out or a way to connect itself with another speaker cab like a 4x12 the overall volume will increase do to more air getting pushed. -PK

  • @xom400 If you use an attenuator you could, but it's typically a better ideal to mic into the PA.

  • what would happen if I put this in an effects loop

  • @OliOsbourne fry

  • @Pianoblacks o rly??

  • @OliOsbourne try it man, remember to post back results!

  • @OliOsbourne You fry one if not both of the amps. Don't do it, this is not a pedal but a amp! -PK

  • Combined with a preamp does it add distortion on clean sounds at higher volumes?

  • i have a soldano sp77 connected di to my sound card focusrite. When I turn up the preamp button on it, i just listen noise, that increase with turning up the preamp button. It's a problem. Could be useful to me getting one of these power amps to solve my problem ? thanks if someone will answer to my question.

  • How well can this thing power a 4x12 cab, whilst being almost 100% clean?

I was looking to use it for band practice/gig/recording volume

  • I got mine today...great sound, really loud....a very good deal! ;)

  • I'm looking to possibly run a POD through this into a 2X12 cab (4ohm) in a live setting. My Crate Power Block took a dump on me, so this is looking like a better option.

  • @plinkytx You need at least 8ohms, 16 will work but ideal is 8ohms. If you already have a 2x12, look up stereo speaker wiring, do it and your speaker cab will run at 16 ohms, which is safe for the EH. Another option is dummy load or weber ohm matcher. -PK

  • How loud does this thing get (in decibels) at max clean volume?

  • It´s a reallly tiny and surprisingly light power amp. I use with the AMT V1 as pre amp and a 1x12'' cabinet. By the whay, the AMT Legend Series has great amp simulations with a lot of possibilities. Nice demo! Thanks.

  • I have a Marshall MG and it sucks kinda :D Is it worth buying the 44 Magnum and a 1x12 cab and drive it with some distortion pedal?

  • does this get louder than the jca20h?

  • Sounds great! Not to pricey either!

  • I'm guessing that Seymour Duncan Tube classic + 44 magnum can be a pretty good solution.

  • what ohmage does this go to?

  • Im going to buy a similar setup soon

    Zoom G9.2tt > ART Tube MP > 44 magnum > 2x12 Celestion v30 cab

  • so if not mistaken, you could potentially use this setup instead of a twin channel amp head?

    great vid as always.

  • Hey TK, not a bad setup. I assume those power and preamps are all SS correct?

  • @ace69er They are. But it's a super portable amp solution!

  • @Den1sVengeance Yes they are!

  • I would love to pair one of these up with the Amptweaker Tight Metal Pedal when it comes out :)

    Nice review \m/

  • Not so hot on the 44 by itself, but when you bring in the pre-amp then we're really open for business. Pretty cool concept overall.

  • effects box/pedalboard sized power amps for emergencies and convenience, an excellent idea and thanks for the review tone king!

  • u should try that with a line 6 hd ...maybe next video

  • Holly smokes!!!!!! 6:12... huge sound!!!!! man love this mini rig!!!! BTW TK... love that Randall cab... Cheers!

  • Its sounds surprisingly good, but its a little too pricy, it has a nice clean tone

  • @rampage222555 how is 150 dollars for a 44 watt amp pricey?

  • @MeFFF You do know that fryette is the company of vht's original founder, right? Guess not.

  • @diabeticmonkey he does. when vht changed it's name to fryette, a new company called vht started; they're a different company from fryette/old vht. the special 6 is one of the new vht's amps

  • @diabeticmonkey

Did you know that the Brand VHT was SOLD?!

I guess not, because you seem to be a guy who talks much and can´t read properly........

  • Nice Review!!!!

You should checkout the VHT Amp Special 6 and maybe the Special 6 Ultra.

They seem to be a bargain. And I don´t mean Freyette, I mean the Chinese build VHT´s.

  • @GoudVis56667 want a fucking mesa boogie dual rectifier?

  • @1withguitar Don´t do the same joke on every video dude, that´s not funny...

  • @GoudVis56667 Being 1st is GAY!
