But for me the most immediate threat is that plants are modified to withstand huge amounts of pesticides and weedkillers so that farmers can spray such strong poisons (like Monsanto's Roundup) that all life around the plant dies while the GMO plant thrives. But for me the most immediate threat is that plants are modified to withstand huge amounts of pesticides and weedkillers so that farmers can spray such strong poisons (like Monsanto's Roundup) that all life around the plant dies while the GMO plant thrives. Now if those poisons kill every living thing what the heck do you think it is doing to us when we eat it? Studies have proven mice fed GMOs get eventual massive organ failure. Look it up.

Several days ago I had a squadron of four military helicopters flying low and slow, going round and round, flying directly over my house. They landed only 2 blocks away. This was as the U.S. Senate was passing the bill to make it legal for the military to abduct and indefinitely imprison, torture, and kill people like me, who have done nothing but speak out boldy This is the second time I have experienced this. The other time it was one black helicopter, with no marking or lights, at 3:00am.

On a more serious note. Are they making arrests on people who are growing food now? Do you know ANYTHING at all about them cracking down on those who grow their own foods at all? Or, if you want, could you point me in the right direction to find this out?

GM crops can be good if they make farming less resource intensive while yielding more food, however the corrupt ways of American law mean if you modify a species, you own it, if it contaminates a farmer's crop(bees cross pollination), you own him.
Funny how in Cuba there's communal gardens where you can grow food with others... that's now illegal in the states.

Seriously though, this bill will not fly and anyone trying to enforce this is going to have more than pitchforks to deal with. Growing food is a God given right and Common Law. Let them try and see who wins. It won't be them. The government is way outnumbered so I don't expect too much enforcement. No chance of making this work locally.
