  • "it smells , but we don't want to move out" uh...huh

  • I think the Plaintiffs didn't have a case for a "sickly house" but the Defendants were stupid landlords for not documenting the damage and cleaning...FAIL on both parties

  • You can't smell it BEFORE you move in?Are you kidding? If it was so bad they would have smelled it!I had a in law who lived in an apartment complex. She has an extra bedroom she use.She opened it one day to find mold growing all over the wall. An inspector came in and found black mold along with other mold. The apartment complex turned their nose up and wouldn't do anything even though it was THEIR building pipe that leaked into the wall. They cleaned it with bleach and moved the next tenant in...

  • I think it would be worth $1200 bucks to get rid of two whiney kid tenants that catch colds then sue in a court that their house gave them a cold when professional inspectors can't find anything wrong with the house. Sheesz.

  • @rustydog1236 i know 3 professional inspectors..all 3 are inept and cant smell mold and sometimes Will Not declare it even tho its clearly present because of the landlords money/wishes outweighing the mold and its health concerns.

  • i have a really bad immunity because of my illness and i have five nieces and nephews, i catch EVERYTHING that they bring home, i catch more then there own parents, and yes i do catch it all in my house but that's because my nieces and nephews come into my home... Viruses can turn into many things, maybe they should have got a little infection checked out so they wouldn't have had a big health scare to handle....

  • "It was hard to prove that the house was sick." I'd say.

  • I had this problem with a house I rented. My landlord was a cheap arse who wouldnt fix anything so i left. He got nasty when I said I wanted to move out. I had to because the people befor me had smelly dogs inside and I got sick off the unseen shit still floating around the house and my baby got sick too.

  • "Next time we'll have to make sure we have more physical proof."

Hmmm...sounds like someone is planning on suing more landlords in the future!

  • @Comixbear1 that is exactly what I thought.

  • QUEEF QUEEF FRANKIE'S HOUSE!!!!

  • The D is one to talk about the P (Amanda) doing all the talking. She did all the talking for their side. At least they got their security back, because they clearly told them to move out.

  • i bet the son was sick from the carpets or else they wouldnt of had a problem reselling the place i wouldnt be surprised if they had dog hair on them and somehow water got on the carpet

  • @kazooga1234 you are probably right but the dog was from the previous tenants so the smell would have been there when they first looked thru the place so why didn't they say something then?? and if it the carpet was the reason they got sick, why didn't they accept the offer to change the carpets? why ask for lost wages when he continued to work but had to open a window? I can understand why they were evicted, they are serial complainers and I imagine create drama in every place they rent.

  • @asjabluedog they probably thought the smell would go away with in a few days and i agree to the changing of the carpets they prob could have asked the landlord if they would be able to do that and i agree with you on the last part as well

  • @kazooga1234 I think also that sometimes when something is in the news and in the papers that people are influenced by it subconsciously and around this time was when all that hype about airborne moulds killing people or making them very sick came about. Maybe this was an influencing factor or maybe they just are genuinely scammers thru and thru.

  • @asjabluedog maybe they are scammers that took advantage of the moulds killing and i agree that when people watch the main stream media they are more influnced by fear mongering and are more apt to believe things that are actually rare arent rare at all like the mould killing and there is a news story by TYT or midweekpolitics that talks about how fearful people are to things that are uncommon i dont no if i could find the link again but it was interesting

  • This goes to show how important documentations are in contentious situations like this: Landlords are inclined to keep deposit, tenants are inclined to take it back.

  • you first went there to look at the place, u didnt notice the smell before you "fell in love with it" ?

the landlords seem like reasonable people to me.

plaintiffs seemed like nice people too until they started to bring non sense like "I got bronchitis from the smell" "i want lost wages" while her child whose prone to sickness more than adults has no sign of sickness at all from the smell

  • @xxxxmimi Very true re: daughter... Mmmm

  • ive never gotten sick from a dog & i have LOTS.

    he works w/ kids..enough said

  • well just caz u rnt alergic to dogs doesnt mean others arent there was a dog i was alergic to and it wasnt as bad as it was for mario but i couldnt pet the dog like i wanted to i couldnt sleep on the blanket i used for nap time caz the dog would go into the closet and it sucked
