Our country is too comfortable with their blindness. America has already denied Christ because who governs us is what makes our country. Television tells our children who to obey etc. It is going to be like china and other countries quite soon. The church thrives under persecution. I think that sometimes the REAL persecution is when there is no persecution at all. The U.S. ends up saying "Relax! we can seek the Lord tomorrow..."

The Chinese people are doing just that now, that's why there are so many conversion there every day. Miracles happened as in the early days of Christianity.

However, a Christian life (his) cannot be lived on past things done. God always cares about current love for God...

It's OK if his personal nickname with some personal friends is "heavenly man". But something is ... a bit dangerous (for his own soul) when he drags it around as an official title. You know Peter Paul John and Jacob(James) didn't tell others they were "heavenly", so why should any other Christian?

In his book the context is not that he is perfect. His home is in heaven was the point of it. He even states in his book that the true heavenly man is Jesus Christ.

You can take his whole book as good testimony and autobiography, including the 75 (or 74) day fast.

The Chinese government controls the press, they would not publish something that embarrass themselves.

Recently, I read that Zhengzhou City has been installing so many cameras, they now cover every street. Chinese cities are not as wealthy as American cities. Zhengzhou is also a small city, I don't even know where it is. Why Orwellian cameras? you can take that as confirmation.

Also, thanks for adding quotation marks to "The Heavenly Man". Really, you aren't that much more special than any anonymous Christian. So it'd be outrageous if you dragged some special title around with you.

If you actually read the book you would understand that he acknowledges he is nothing, and that Jesus Christ is the only true heavenly man.

The title of heaven man was given to him by his villagers, because he did not want to give away the location of his fellow believers to the PSB, and claimed to be a man from heaven with no earthly address.

Get your facts straight before criticizing a brother in Christ.

I do know that.

it's not about the nickname then. What's worrisome is that he is among megalomaniac Americans who love prestige, and he dresses sometimes sumptuously, and it is possible he has been influenced by these megalomaniac Americans to forget about his earlier condition, and use the words "Heavenly Man" for his own megalomania.

If it's a nickname by dear Chinese coworkers, then he should merely be "Brother Yun" to Americans, and not "Heavenly Man" to sound as impressive as possible.

I don 't understand that at all. Isn't he like, one of the ones who is not lovin' the world? He doesn't seem to love his life, he seems to have given it for Jesus...otherwise he would not have the testimony of being thrown in prison and the way he was tortured for Christ.

Why do you think he's being decieved by the right wing in America??? Where do you get that from? I'm genuinely confused by these statements. Is it because he's preaching in a fancy church? Christians may happens to agree with many of the "right", but also many of the "left", depends on what country. In America, many of the "right" are staunchly Christian but some also use God as a mean to glorify nationalism and deploying US military domination everywhere; many of the "left" mix Christianity with humanism, and many lack moral fiber to stand against injustice, but they also have a more correct view of nationalism.

It is not a qualifier of moral or spiritual standard. Because "right" also has dictators and can be just as tyrannical, even if "right" can use political language different from "left". "left" and "right" are qualifiers of world issues, and if sometimes "right" is more friendly to religion, because it is a political faction, by the nature of politics its primary concern is competition of political gain and prestige vis-a-vis the "left", rather than an absolute standard.

I am going to be honest with comments. Perhaps Brother Yun's emphatic speaking is interrupted every 10 seconds for translation, and the translator is not emphatic in the same way, watching the video gave the impression that Brother Yun was pointlessly emphatic at some moments. Either than, or someone edited the video.

But the main discomfort, and the first impression of "fakeness" is how the translator directly looks at the camera, but Brother Yun constantly looks to the right.

Amazing to see BELIEF is far more important than knowledge. We have become literally ignorant, shunting off our belief of our heart/soul. His testimony touched my heart. I was keep on asking God, why the church is so weak.. where is His power. God spoke to me through Brother Young's testimony: "It is becouse the church in the West is so "rich" it does not need to completely rely on God.." God is calling us to wake up and follow Jesus in a complete surrender..
