  • Is that really Spielberg? I mean was this video really made in 1971, or is it fake?

  • Your using audio from something else I HEAR the moment where Spielberg is saying "Bring it out" FROM JAWS

What is this REALLY?? Clearly a re inactment.

  • What is this? I dont understand. Please someone reply.

  • @viplovem It was made in 2002. It is making fun of a young Spielberg, directing Something Evil for TV at Universal in 1971. Spielberg has told biographers that he had no respect from the older crews, because he was the youngest director Universal had ever hired. This is an imagined scenario using an actor to portray Spielberg, and the audio of his real voice is taken from various "Behind the Scenes" documentaries, as someone else has listed above. It's clever how they recreated the 70s era.

  • Spielberg honing his craft see...Documentary style, sweet!

  • I have no idea what this is. I was looking for early Spielberg interviews before Jaws....then I found this.

  • @Markisagoodboy Yea there isn't much pre-Jaws ('75) as for interviews and behind the scenes out there, wish there was.

  • This is great! I have to see Reflections of Evil finally...

  • get the rocks guys!

  • actually i think he's saying "get the rats guys" as it was probably from the making of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, other bits (of the ADR) were lifted from the making of 1941, Jaws, Empire of the Sun and Jurassic Park. (mainly Empire) If you listen carefully he's actually giving directions to Christian Bale

  • This is weird! I love it!

  • Yeah, this scene is one of many inspired moments from Reflection of Evil.

  • gotta love those teamsters. lol

  • are those empty drug packets littering the model of the universal studio street with the tour bus driving along it?

  • I first saw this in a version of RoE and never forgot it.

    Hilarious!

  • Every self-respecting film student should watch that clip for inspiration.
