Oh, yes, just picked up the Vette...it is now officially named "James"! I figure if I just say, "Home, James"...somehow I will end up somewhere...hopefully where some fantastic funk is being played.
After totalling my 2010 Corvette in the rain last month, I definitely need this song! ...and yes, a 2011 is on order--could not play James in some car with a poor sound system!!
I asked my cousin in Minnesota to check this out. She emailed back that both she and her three year old grandaughter ended up dancing all around the house! Thank you for so much for sharing this delightful music!
@MultiKZB Sounds like an excellent plan! Be sure you catch the live version of Tico Tico that I posted. It was a done as medley with "Papa Was a Rascal". Just search "Tico Tico Papa Was a Rascal" and it should pop up. It's hard to believe that it's just a routine live performance at a small nightclub in uptown New Orleans.
9thWard--thank you for bringing on all these treasures onto You Tube! It is tough to find anything even slightly resembling this music in San Diego. Hmmmmm...guess I just need to relocate!!!
@MultiKZB I love San Diego. Only been there once but it had such a great feel to it. Never made it to the zoo but spent an entire day at The Wild Animal Park or whatever they called it. BTW, hope you are not getting slammed by all the rain you guys have taken on lately.
Well, it does keep "pulling" towards Interstate 10 even though the Spring term is not over until May 19th!

Oh yes, we have had lots of rain...we should "sun-up" by tomorrow. In the meantime, I am just going to enjoy some more Booker. Love this song.
