  • She's pretty. I bought my LTD Crown Victoria back on 09. It's a 1985 and as of this week I rolled over 71K on the odometer. I bought it with 54K original miles. Runs like a dream, she doesn't look it anymore after being backed into 3 times (ironically all on the right side, still trying to figure that one out) last year. I still have the original AM/FM turn dial cassette too. Fully loaded for it's model year except no traction-lok axle. I love these cars!

  • @whiterangers1984 I just put new plugs, rotor, distributor cap, wires, serpentine belt, battery shocks and brakes on it. It runs great, just like new! I love these big cars as well.

  • wow thats a great car for that price most cars around here from that price are at tow yards, in horrible shape.

  • there was one just like this one for sale in Brunswick I had looked at last yr.....was a real nice car

  • my 89 Grand Marquis will use a qt of oil every 2000-2,500 miles, which I consider normal

  • Nuthin like a lil bit of Cat Stevens lol

  • just out of curiosity, wen u do an oil change, is there 2 bolts on the oil pan? bc i only saw one wen i crawled under it but wen i got it on a lift i saw 2....i was just curious if there actually is 2 bolts

  • @tippman2k01 you are correct. There are two bolts. I recommend replacing them, mine were slowly seeping oil.

  • @bigbobvub

thanks. i just wanted to make sure there were 2 bolts before i touched it. my bolts however are not leaking at all, so im fine

  • @tippman2k01 no problem, good luck with that.

  • @bigbobvub thank u. also i am curious how much oil u burn every 3000 miles so i can get an idea of how much oil i should be burning?

  • @tippman2k01 i don't get on here much sorry i didn't get to answere your question sooner but my car burns little to no oil in 300o miles.

  • I just realized you added a pop up that says your mp3 works great in the casette. I missed that the first time.

    Cool car.

  • @kiddbilly3030 I do need to upgrade the system. The trunk is huge so I have lots of room to work with.

  • Cassette players are good. You can hook up one of those old portable cd adapters to your Ipod and use it. with a cassette player You can't do that with a cd player (unless you have a really new car that has an I/O jack.)

  • My grat grandmother has an 1986 mercruy and runs like new

  • take it to the juckyard thanks

  • I have one just the same in midnight blue, great car! I'm GM through and through but i love it! 302 is a great engine. Nice car

  • Great car there, got the 302 engine in it?

  • nice, abit of Cat Stevens, nice old gal mercury aswell

  • i have one 1989 but no one her can renew it good what i can do.........no parts no good hands

  • My first car man. I loved that thing more than any car I've ever driven.

  • wow nice car , take care of it, modern classics

  • Clean Mercury I know somebody who had a 1989 Mercury just like that I don't know what color but It looked great

  • The car is brown. It looks to have some maroon mixed in the paint when the sun hits it just right. I have had a lot of offers for this thing this summer, didn't know how popular these cars were until I bought one.

  • my uncle had a 89 crown vic and he lived in florida and your car just made me think of his and how people down there have no rust on theirs. unusual huh?

  • The dual media option on the 2009 Grand marquis is a single cd and cassette player lol!

  • Nice car! I just bought an 88 Lincoln Town Car for $700, I feel rite at home with these cars :))

  • Thanks for the compliment. I love these older boats. Just it back from a brake job and new brake lines. The throttle postion module went bad the check engine light came on one day so replacing that cured the problem.

  • hey man could you tell me how can i get the tail light lens? cheers from mexico

  • Wow nice car, why did you pay just $700!! How many miles?

  • It was sitting in an empty lot beside a full lot of used late model used cars at this dealership with a sign in the window for $695. Some guy from Florida traded it in and the dealer gave him $600 for the trade in and wanted to get rid of it. It had 105,00 miles on it. I've put a couple thousand on it since then but nothing is wrong with the car. All the electronics work including the AC.

  • When I went to register it I found the original manufacutres window sticker in the glove box. It cost 19,900 in 1989.

  • Very nice Merc, :)

  • Thanks for the comment. I've had a few offers to sell. I started driving it a month ago and it still drives like new. I had to replace the low beam headlights but that's it.

  • have you sold it yet?? if not were you located??

  • I'm sorry to say that I'm keeping it. It's going to paint this spring. But anthing can happen between now and then.

  • W/ color is that?

  • It says brown on the registration but there is a red mix in the paint. Almost a dark burgundy.

  • Cat Stevens!

  • Nice. That is a nice car for $700. How many miles does it have on it?

  • Same cassette player I had in my 88 Ranger. I installed a newer CD player into it and miss the cassette player! I have more cassettes than I do CD's

  • did it come with the chime sound when you open yout door

  • Did this Mercury originally come with a chime or a buzzer?

  • Chime

  • 700 $ is a good fucking pirce

  • A steal. No rust anywhere!
