M-audio fastrack pro - preferably the one with pro-tools 9!

A condensor mic with a top quality XLR cable.

And a set of M-Audio studio speakers!

Either that or some studio time, because you really have no idea how good your voice is!

I think if you didn't copy Howard's singing rhythm of this song it might sound better. Some songs just don't turn out great being redone using another voice coping the previous artist rhythm. You have a nice voice though..

haters will hate. People hear the original and state their opinion of covers based on how closely you cover it. If it is not EXACTLY how it is originally, people hate it, not really remembering the fact that it was supposed to be a cover and throwing in your own influence was the point in the first place. In short, this is awesome. We should hook up sometime and do a cover or something. Keep being original.

Also, if you listen to this cover through CRAP speakers that are not surround sound or headphones, it will not sound good....hence the message I posted in the caption about the recording quality. I do not have mastering experience. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but a good ear knows potential or better when it's heard. "You suck" is not constructive criticism. :) I don't SUCK...but my home recording resources do. And your CRAP speakers. :) Lol.
