  • He should've cold smoked them ugly mutha suckas.

  • You tube has whole episodes from the outer limits not sure if this one is there or not though. This was one of my favorite series when I was a child. Had original plots not like now days with story ideas constantly reused.

  • Looks like a bunch of my fraternity brothers

  • @AmericanPowerBase Did somebody pay you to post this??????

  • This reminds me of what administrators do to teachers. Don't kill them just take their minds.

  • @sanclementekid and what teachers do to students

  • The raygun prop on this OL ep was the larger prototype ray gun pistol vr desighn for the later ABC & NBC TV networks Invaders & Star Trek Sci/Fi shows whom the prop masters decided to use the basic shape of the gun in a more smaller hand pistol size with a few cosmetic differences, made of a composit shell like the glock, notice how the scientist @ the end zaps his driver generator then destroy the weapon as if its a plastic model car & spilling out & destroying the disentagrator circut pieces.

  • 3 or Free.

  • Wowzie doozie. Some of these episodes scared the living daylights out of me when I was a child from the 1970s. Pity they don't make them like they used to do.

  • Wowzie doozie. Some of these episodes scared the living daylights out of me when I was a child from the 1970s.

  • I met the guy who was in this episode, Warren Stevens. Terrific actor. Dig those aliens with the quadruple mouths.

  • No T, when I wrote an Outer Limits in the 90s, all shot in Vancouver ,Canada...the sum I was paid ,well check with the Writer`s Guild and you should be fine...anyone can steal a portion of your ideas...anytime,anywhere...o.k....but you must, must forge ahaed...ignore and do not let paranoia hold your submissions back...one episode made me where I am now...sitting here in my home doing ,well whatever I wish to do...each and every day.

  • Shit!!! RUN!!! It's the tax department.

  • I'm wandering what the scientist (warren stevens) mindset must have been after experiencing that perticular ET group contact & there MIND CONTROL capibilitys, & all the millions invested into that research proj he invisioned, his lady friend going confused of his abrupt change of personality & her brief & chocking contact also, I did not thk of this as a kid in the early 60's watching this, My O My what a contactee must experience in some tho NOT ALL ET contactee cases I suppose, "RIGHT" :-X

  • Other than "Demon with the Glass Hand," this is probably my favorite second season "Outer Limits" episode.

  • This epp to me illustrated what the ambitous mind can achieve with a little help from above, however that contactee scientist who developed that dissintergrator gun weapon would have caused a great danger to a world that's not ready for that kind of portable warfare pwr capability unleshed to a warring world mindset & who came to this shocking conclussion thus distroying his project after the grip of the aliens mind control wore off him, one of the original OL's best epps in my opinion.

  • this looks like some japanese porn

  • 0:35 is not enough! I want to see the what happens. lol

This is terrifying. I thought "The Twilight Zone had some scary shit, but "Outer Limits" was something else! I wasn't born when any of these anthology shows was on, but it can scary you then, and it can do it to you today. It's timeless. Sadly, there will never be another like this.

  • ):{{{ )

Now them are some scary looking Aliens!

  • :}}}}

  • @rredhawk LOL!!!!!

  • it's gman !

  • GRACE RAUH

  • The funny thing about the Outer Limits, was it was well written with a limited budget, and the production team cut even more money from the budget the next season and took all of the incidental and title music from the show to use in other ABC shows like 12 o'clock high, the fugitive and the invaders and let the Outer Limits just die out, because, they figured it wasn't doing well in the ratings.

  • I've been to plenty of staff training sessions like this!

  • "The Outer Limits"---the original television show, one of the greatest shows of all time.

  • funny

  • Some scary stuff going on here.

  • I had always heard rumors of some real ugly bastards in the government if you don't pay your taxes, this just confirms it.

  • Just take his mind, and we will re-distribute parts of it to others

    Sounds like a Democrat.

  • Those fuckers look like my in-laws

  • Stop yer grinnin' and drop yer' linen!

  • :{{{

  • the title sounds like a hendrix tune!

  • @MZVIRB Maybe you're thinking of "Pilots of the Purple Twilight" by Tangerine Dream.

  • @Enigma758 No! It sounds like it would have been a great title!

  • This is when you need to use your jo-jujitsu, unless you know Superman.

  • Dont kill him, he has man-jina... We may need it...

  • 'ikon..dnt kill him...we may need him...just take his anus'

  • Bu-but I don't want an anal probe :0

  • Time for your anal probing bitch!

  • LMFAO

  • LOL

  • @SOLISDEUS Yes, yes, for we are the ALIENS called THE DEMOS......Who have the mission to visit each planet and take over the minds who run the governments and make them spend spend, and then spend some more until their economys crash while removing FREEDOMS and INDIVIDUAL CHOICE! WE then decide what is best for YOU and we become the ONLY ONES WITH POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SOLISDEUS - You got that right! Maybe they could make an updated sequel. Call it Keepers Of The Purple Palin.

  • @SOLISDEUS : really?!

  • @SOLISDEUS

At least Republicans and conservatives have minds. All you have is your loser-in-chief. lol!

  • @theRightizright Wow, you told him.

  • @SOLISDEUS Whereas your average progressive never has a mind to begin with.

  • Warren Stevens a very underated actor.. but seemed like he was always mad at someone.

  • @majormannfred, Warren Stevens was in "Forbidden Planet".

  • WTF?! Nobody told me Billy Mays was trying to steal peoples minds with the fuckin' annyoin' oxy-clean commercials!!! He must be stopped!

  • He was a baseball player, or a leading bandleader!

  • They had virtually no budget to speak of and two weeks to write, shoot and edit each episode. Many of their FX became a staple in all the sci-fi shows that followed.

  • Outer Limits was a great show,as a kid it scared me but, I love it

  • Me too. The stories were great.

  • "Don't kill him, just take his mind"....try to say that with a straight face.

  • Classic!

  • This is exactly the correct procedure when being met by aliens, we should not kill them, just take all their resources. Of course that's exactly what we do every time, we work as if with one mind.

  • the aliens look like my Math teacher! lol

  • mine math teacher compare to this looks ugly ;P

  • Wow monsters here look even scarier then todays modern creatures. I wonder if people back then wondered if there were monsters like this

  • take his mind....please

  • I thought Donny Osmond was keeper of the purple

in the 70"s? This was a cool show in the day.

    :)

  • The special effects were outstanding!!!!I bet they spent at least 6 bottle caps and a quarter on these!!lol

  • They have more tread on their faces than I have on my motorcycles tires!!

"Where the rubber meets the road".

    Terrible Tom--Green Bay

  • "Keeper of the Purple Twilight"

That would be Brad Childress. "Coach" of the Minnesota Vikings.

    Terrible Tom--Green Bay

  • those are actually pretty cool aliens compared to how they were in most films those days :)

they might as well had used paper bags and draw scary faces on them

  • LOL Yeah, Outer Limits apparently was a low-budget dig on the Twilight Zone. No contest. But as you say, good enough in those days.

  • Coolest aliens...EVAR!

  • LMAO just take his mind

  • Kirk got "scratched" by his mate.

  • Thats the guy who dissed "Kirk" as they were slowed down in time (coffeee cup)_

  • who writes the music for this?

  • Good Question, I'd like to know too.. I'll dig in my archives and see what I come up with..

    GGG 59

  • One of the best sci-fi shows in TV history.

See my "Outer Limits" intro on my other site (DeliveryDad).

Thanks GGG 59 for sharing this classic!

    Indy

  • Here is what I found about the music. It's not much but I hope it is helpful:

The Outer Limits had an opening and closing narration to almost every episode — the "Control Voice" (Vic Perrin) -- and distinctive music, originally by Dominic Frontiere, listed as a "Production Executive"; the second season featured a new theme by Harry Lubin.

That's it. Hope it was helpful.

    Indy

  • Thanks Indy!!

FOR ALL YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS! ! !

    GGG 59

  • Not as good as Frontiere, though the electronic theme for Ikar isn't bad.

  • Its written in the script for the movie the Matrix that once a mind is to old it can not be freed. I guess taking it by force leaves you with no choice. What about the theory of soul transferance of the pagan occult and devil worship from secret Jewish and Freemason texts.

  • Talk about having another mouth to feed...

  • I love this show... its like the twilight zone, but with more monsters and aliens.

  • warren stevens here again,, was in countless tv shows,, an excellent actor,, I miss him..

  • First of all, why would you tun towards aliens if you're shitting your pants already?

Secondly, if you run towards them, how come it's like he's falling through a trapdoor in the previous shot?

    Gotta love this old shit

  • "Hey... Wha... What in the...?!?"

  • "Don't kill him - just take his mind".and the americans having been doing that to the rest of the world ever since..........

  • Fortunately for you, Australians don't have minds.

  • I'm not...but then again I'm not American either so I got lucky on BOTH accounts -lol!

  • you're not so lucky because you're an A-HOLE!

  • ahahaha....keep up the good work cowboy........

  • How do those guys eat ?

  • This episode had some interesting effects for its time. They actually used a reversed explosion effect whenever the aliens hit someone with their death rays.

  • Take me to your special effects dpeartment!

  • AAAAAAAAAAAARGGHHHHH :-) Great. Don't kill him, just take his mind :-)

  • Ya. Kind of a "good news, bad news" deal. Don't kill him (phew), just take his mind (AIIEEEE!!)

  • COOOOLL!!

Hired the same big guys from the 1953 "Invaders from Mars"!

  • Awesome! can you post more from this episode?

    thanks
