Just a departure from Randome Guy, who I love. Question about the Marvel Universe. Why do people generally fear the X-Men and the other mutants, but they don't fear the Fantastic 4 or the Avengers? What's the difference between being born a mutant and becoming one from exposure to radioactive spiders or space radiation?

(Which superheroes who attained their powers through external means are less likely to.) So the fear is really because people are afraid of being replaced by a superior species. @Bobzeaux He won't be able to cut Superman. It's not about the claws so much as Logan's strength. If the claws could hurt Clark, Logan still wouldn't have the arm strength to do so.

Imagine using a kitchen knife to cut leather. You probably could, but it's be really, really hard. and thats just leather. Imagine if we used another metal that was just slightly weaker than the knife.

Then again comic physics aren't exactly known for accuracy.
