@TSSdrifting Dragon Age is one game where as Final Fantasy is spanned over 13 different games. It is kinda difficult to say one is better than the other based on one game of Dragon Age.
Well, I can say I found Dragon Age Origins' story to be much more involving and interesting than those in the FF games I have played through can't i? :D

But the old ones on the psx (7-9) were nice, especially the legendary and outstanding FF7.
i dont really think this final fantasy game is that good i love the groovy beautiful grphics and the game play is okay but the story just plain out sucks its so dull has alot of action but no uhmph its almost as dull as FF12 s story great grphics square enix but dont mess up something final fantasy is well known for........the story

You ARE right, but you need a good girlfriend aswell, who doesnt kick your ass when you do it. Xbox 360 and ps3 mostly suck when compared to pc gaming - and believe me i know. I have tried 4 times with the 360 now, and the ONLY reason ive not sold this one again is because of FF13. Cannot wait for this game.
Took forever to get to the gameplay but XIII looks fucking beautiful. I'm getting this for the 360 but when GOW3 comes out, I'm getting a PS3. That's why you should get a job so when a can't miss game comes out and u don't got the console, u jus buy the console and game right there.

it doesn't matter what system u do get FF13 on, FF games are awesome and amazing storyline, graphics everything!!! this game will be stunning either on Xbox 360 and the PS3, doesn't matter which console u get this game. Both the Xbox 360 & PS3 are great machines. I have a Xbox 360 by the way. If u want to play the game on your xbox 360 u should install it to your harddrive, i have a 60GB one for my Xbox 360.

PS3 is infamous for being a great system with no good exclusives, the 360 on the other hand has outdated hardware but has the best exclusives and is stealing all of ps3's 'exclusives'.
Ok, the ps3 has obviously improved both as a console and with exclusives, but I still don't think the gamelist is up to scratch with Xbox, but it obviously depends on what games you like really.
Ps3 has heavy rain (a movie), God of War (Hack n slash overrated cos its only good exclusive). 360 has Halo reach (Guna be awesome) and I gotta mention FF13 ('Ps3's big exclusive') Possible gears of war 3, dead rising 2, Mass effect 2 and more...
You're only listing 2 out of like 10 PS3 exclusives of Q1 2010. At least we aren't being fanboys by rating a game without even playing it. I've played Heavy Rain AND God of War 3, but my opinion doesn't count because you'll somehow lash at me. You haven't played Halo Reach. FF13 is HORRIBLE on 360. Gears of War 3 ain't coming for a while. Dead Rising 2 is on PS3 as well. Mass Effect 2 is on PC.

Demon souls is awsome, a masterpeice of RPG mayhem, however, i can't play it with friends over drinks. This is the only re-occuring thing i dont like about a few of the exclusives on PS3; i love them for a ages then never play them again...Xbox just has more replay value with the multi player atmosphere (ill exclude wii as people are completely ignorant of it's awsomeness). Now that My favorite of all RPG's is comming to xbox, I see my PS3 curiousity dwindling...MY PC IS WAY BETTER ANYWAY!
I work at a Blockbuster and therefore play almost all new PS3 and Xbox games. I see many differences and similarites, however, i do see a trend: PS3 does tend to focus on more on satisfying peoples need for high end movie sequences and single-player orientated exclusives; Xbox seems to focus more on creating an advanced multi-player orientated exclusive list. So, basically would you rather play high end single player games, or fullfiling multiplayer games? THE REST ARE THE SAME ON BOTH CONSOLES!

i don't get why people say the ps3 is laggy. it all depends on how the company made the game, like heavenly sword, for example. it had the graphics but did not follow the rules of the ps3 completely, resulting in a freeze or lag.

what does the amount of discs have to do anything with a game? from my understanding the graphics, gameplay and conversations held within both systems are going to be EXACTLY THE SAME. One disc can hold more memory than the other one woopdy doo for it!

I don't see any logic in your statement, I don't wan't a Xbox 360 because bill gates is actually going to shut down his company from the koreans having over 72% of his products now because they are passsing his technology, I have a xbox 360 and I hate it, It's the worst console ever made.
What I also like very much is the development process, they chose to start with the PS3 development instead of developing for the XBOX360, which means they didn't develop in the traditional way (windows / xbox coding environment). By doing this PS3 owners are sure there is no sloppy 'adaptation' from a windows environment to the unique PS3 coding system - in most cases where games are coded in windows environment the xbox version always performs slightly better.. but not with this title. Yay :)

Ok, the ps3 has obviously improved both as a console and with exclusives, but I still don't think the gamelist is up to scratch with Xbox, but it obviously depends on what games you like really.

You're only listing 2 out of like 10 PS3 exclusives of Q1 2010. At least we aren't being fanboys by rating a game without even playing it. I've played Heavy Rain AND God of War 3, but my opinion doesn't count because you'll somehow lash at me. You haven't played Halo Reach. FF13 is HORRIBLE on 360. Gears of War 3 ain't coming for a while. Dead Rising 2 is on PS3 as well. Mass Effect 2 is on PC.

All of the Halo games are excellent, Halo reach is builidng on all of them to go out with a bang as bungie's last halo title, I've seen the vidocs, screenshots, etc, it looks fantastic. Obviously you're allowed your own opinion, but this debate did start by ps3 fanboys slating the xbox 'cos they're angry they lost their biggest exclusive.

@AkaiMoeru hey 90% is realy too much, but i think that more than 60% of xbox gamers are shooter fans.And the reason for xbox to be a good console is not because of how good it is, but that when the ps3 and xbox came the xbox was the cheap one and xbox released all of its best selling game at the start, leaving it now with multiplataform games. i have both, xbox and PS3, xbox is great, but PS# is far better with its exclusives.

Demon souls is awsome, a masterpeice of RPG mayhem, however, i can't play it with friends over drinks. This is the only re-occuring thing i dont like about a few of the exclusives on PS3; i love them for a ages then never play them again...Xbox just has more replay value with the multi player atmosphere (ill exclude wii as people are completely ignorant of it's awsomeness). Now that My favorite of all RPG's is comming to xbox, I see my PS3 curiousity dwindling...MY PC IS WAY BETTER ANYWAY!

I work at a Blockbuster and therefore play almost all new PS3 and Xbox games. I see many differences and similarites, however, i do see a trend: PS3 does tend to focus on more on satisfying peoples need for high end movie sequences and single-player orientated exclusives; Xbox seems to focus more on creating an advanced multi-player orientated exclusive list. So, basically would you rather play high end single player games, or fullfiling multiplayer games? THE REST ARE THE SAME ON BOTH CONSOLES!

It would seem as though all the ps3 spokeperson/suck-ups care for is convenience and an oppertunity to vent their apparent frustration (which is most likely due to a lack of affection as a child): Xbox 360 and PS3 have almost all the same games and graphics. "Potential, year of the PS3" you all sound like christians preaching blind faith and that someday you sensless worshiping will pay off somehow? It has a lower download cap and it is obvious based on repeated comparisons.

Who slapped you sir? Was it Square-Enix? If Square-Enix wants to expand their audience then let them. But let's face facts, the PS3 version will be far superior than the one for X360. The PS3 version will only consist of one disc while the X360 version will consist of 3 due to the limited space that the X360 has. I love my PS3, and if you really loved the FF series you wouldn't complain. Just enjoy the game fanboy. And I got the PS3 solely for FFXIII, and Singstar. LOL

i don't get why people say the ps3 is laggy. it all depends on how the company made the game, like heavenly sword, for example. it had the graphics but did not follow the rules of the ps3 completely, resulting in a freeze or lag.

i agree, i used to like xbox but... thing is, it only lasted 2 weeks because the games have too much repetition.
as for the PS series, they kept me entertained for a very long time now. im not a fan either, i just look for gameplay, which xbox lacks both gameplay and graphics.
i choose ps3 for its ability to handle alot more :) that's where taste linger, i think that xbox fans are for people who are easily entertained, whereas ps3 are for people who are more complex... like me :p

Do not worry, there are good sides to the story:
Microsoft gave SE a huge financial boost for releasing this title on their system aswel, which is good for SE ofcourse, the company we love.
FF Series are brought to many more gamers, more potential FF lovers who will buy the PS3 system for exclusives from SE, such as XIII Versus.

What I also like very much is the development process, they chose to start with the PS3 development instead of developing for the XBOX360, which means they didn't develop in the traditional way (windows / xbox coding environment). By doing this PS3 owners are sure there is no sloppy 'adaptation' from a windows environment to the unique PS3 coding system - in most cases where games are coded in windows environment the xbox version always performs slightly better.. but not with this title. Yay :)
