power steering means you can have increased caster, and it's easier to correct the car if the rear wheels slide out. i have p/s in my Factory Five Cobra replica

I agree with you chunky, I mean, that sort of knowledge isn't even "race hero" stuff. I'm surprised the driver doesn't know this before he was let loose on an AC Cobra. And letting the wheel spin under heavy acceleration?!?! To be honest, that's all I could watch, his wheel control. And there must be something up, or no-one would be commenting on it. Like ekohl said, "if it's your car, you can drive it how you want to..." (IF it's your car).

never put your hand inside the wheel because if the car snaps out it can break your wrist/hand.

If you look at professional drivers from inside video there are different styles of handling the wheel some good drivers move their hands on the wheel. Never saw one grab the inside though.

not an experienced driver - track rule no. 1 never move your hands round the steering wheel. Keep them firmly planted and turn the wheel more, unless you spin or drift.

No offense, but have you ever driven an unassisted car before? Those front wheels will be exceptionally heavy not to mention at least 7" wide. Plus the weight of a big V8 over the front wheels. Thats hard work to turn, nothing you can push around with your thumbs like a modern car.

I have a 500bhp Cobra and have tracked it at Silverstone in the UK, and yes you dont need to move your hands round the wheel to get it to turn in.

couse if it snaps back and the steering wheel spins your thumbs will get dislocated.
