Snakes do not dislocate their jaws, instead snakes have ligaments on the lower jaw that stretch and that allows them to eat much bigger prey items then the snakes girth. The dislocating jaw shit is just a myth. Just like constrictors do not crush their prey to death, that is a myth. When a large constrictor starts to constrict, they stop the blood flow and the animal usually goes into cardiac arrest.

For the record... snakes dont actually "dislocate" their jaws. They have the abiltity to stretch very wide because their jaws have to separate joints and the lower jaw isnt "fused" by a bone, just ligaments that stretch.
