Discus are amazing though to balnce out the look of the tank some smaller more active yet DOCILE fish are good. Again DOCILE fish discus are big pushovers and can't live in a tank with aggressive fish
Not a chance. Discus need very clean water, infact several water changes a week. Not only would a 30 gallon be too small for such large fish, but the water would need to be changed too often
hi Kathryn003, I agree, it will looks better with that. I've tried it long time ago.
Discus definitly need and enjoy clear and stable water. for simplicity, I prefer a clear-look tank personly. If I put more things in the tank, I need to make sure I put in more efforts to maintain the water at the same time, while I am usually get lazy or busy sometime.
- Tap water in Singapore is in good condition. The tap water comes from roof-top reservoir, where they can staging there for sometime before they come down to my fish tank.
- I got 2 filters for the tank: one on top filter act as a physical filter to trap all the dirt; one Ehiem filter act as a bio-filter to allow the good bio-media grow inside and do bio-filtering for the water.

Nice fish, but plain tank man! Add some gravel, some rocks and a plant or two! 3/5. 3 for the fish.

Discus tanks should be bare, it allows for easier cleaning which the delicate fish need a lot of!

you couldn't keep 1 discus in a 30 gallon they are huge and produce a lot of waste

Nice Discus. I recommend buying some sort of substrate (sand or gravel) for them, as well as some plants.
