@demon6937 Usually the graphics card takes up from 244-245 watts from the TOTAL wattage of your power supply. Meaning, in order to have enough wattage for ALL of your parts (CPU/MB etc.) you need a preferably powerfull PSU (power supply unit) in order to keep all of your parts fed with enough power. So in this case, a 600-750 watt PSU would suffice for the GTX 580.

I bought 2 x 480s recently. Thankfully (now I see this) they failed after only 4 days and I got my money back. This put me off Nvidia. Now I see they are basically admitting that the 4 series was a stop gap solution while they developed a working product with proper cooling etc that would actually perform to the specs of the hardware rather than have to be throttled back to cope with the heat. Thansk for the new product Nvidia. But never again, rip off someone else.
