I dont think Bolton's solution is addressing the problem. You cannot give Palestinian land to Jordan and Gaza to Egypt, that was rubbished years ago, and they have moved past that point 25 years ago. Palestinians want to be Palestinian not Jordanian and not Egyptian

The 'strategic intrest' of the US can only be the strategic intrest of Israel. So what is it then? It's the creation of a Jews-only state. The creation of a Palestian State, viable or non-viable, is the condition to reach that goal. If Israel wants to swap some densely Arab populated areas inside Israel for the illegal settlements on the West Bank - in order to get rid of the demographic threath from Palestinians 'inside' - you need someone to swap with.
