she is probaly useing it because she had to remember her lines for the sitcom REBA and had no time to practice those lines but she is an amazing artist(singer)
Picky, picky people. Forget what's in her hands and just listen to that phenomenal performance! The talent, the maturity (she's 50 here), the personal enjoyment she exhibits---what a package!
Even if she has the music in front of her (which I might add so do the other leading players of the concert), Reba sounds wonderful; I truly wish she continue her work on the broadway stage, especially after her triumphant turn in Annie Get Your Gun.
As professional as Reba is, I wonder why she has to use music at all, unless she had, like, no time to practice and rehearse it. I have to have everything memorized for my recitals. This year it's three songs, and one of them is an Italian aria. Still no security-blanket music sheet for me.
I think it is a security blanket thing....when you know something but you also have it in front of you so you look at it anyway.....amazing job though love her!
Great version, but I'm surprised by how often she has to glance at the lyrics. I know these concerts have limited rehearsal time, but these lyrics are so easy to remember!
@lostvocals4 You do understand she has to remember all the lyrics to her songs as well, right? Less memorization of other songs is best for her, for her musical career.
@lostvocals4 i think its more for comfort, whenever im on stage, i always keep my script and lyrics side of stage so when im off stage i can look at them, i dont need them, but its just for comfort :)

Her accent is too strong for this song. Musically, it's beautiful, but the accent is just not right for this song.
