I've got the demo and I can honestly say that you've done a top job. Some utterly brillaint comedy moments! I love how the Sorcerer's Ring is utterly pointless! Lol!

BTW, What program did you use to record this with?

lol, the Sorcerer's Ring will get more useful in some later dungeons though ^_^;

I forgot the name of the program I used here, but for the last video I used Hypercam, which is also a lot better.

The demo ends before the Ossa Trail, so I removed everything after that and blocked the road to indicate the ending of the demo.

Have you finished the Triet Ruins yet? If not, talk to everyone in Triet to open the entrance to it. The demo ends after finding the key from the ruins.

You mean the different backgrounds in different areas? You can change that using the Terrain and Tileset options.

I found the charsets at charas, and the rest is from various sites. Just google RPGmaker2003 Resources to find em.

You need to change the color depth to 256 colors. Only then will it work. This is possible in Irfanview.

You can't. But if you know your tricks well, you can make a character select screen. I made 10 variables, 1 for every character, so the game knows which ones are available and which not. There's no easy way to make a big party, unless you do forced party changes through events.

I wonder... What MIDI are you using for Triet? I specifically searched for a Triet midi in your old demo, and was disappointed to see it wasn't there.

Triet uses ToP's Olive Village music. About half of the ToS music has no midi, so I'm improvising with other Tales of music.

(Too bad I couldn't find any victory music at all, so that's the original RPGmaker tune now. Bleh. Well, it's not bad, but still!)

As for the chipset, I have a good one that might need a little editing. It has both water with grass edges and water with ice edges. I'll upload it if you want.

A preview can be seen in my Tales fangame trailer...It has pretty nice mountains and forests. And it has a bunch of city/cave items that work well with a Tales of fangame

I'd rather not use mp3s because they make the game so big. I have all ToS music in mp3 form though (Except the non-japanese opening and Katz Village. Damn you two! :P) But if I really can't find anything in the end, I'll use it anyway.

As for the overworld, I compiled a new chipset out of a few others and replaced the old one. No more RPT now, aside from some buildings representing towns.

The RTP set was the only chipset that had snowy edges around the water, which is vital for the Flanoir area.

I might change it when I find something better.

They're the fake Chosen's group. Chester, Arche, Suzu and Klarth/Claus will appear later on too. Their role has gotten way more important too.

I used them because they have so many similiarities to the ToS cast. (Like Cress' sword ;) )

You do, but I guess it's still possible if you don't. You'll just miss on most of the jokes, such as the quote abuse. And the story won't be very clear either if you haven't played ToS.
