  • Hey I was at this Graffitti Tour concert ...came away with strept throat & a touch of hearing loss in my left ear

  • @dontbringmedown1900 I got mono.

  • @dontbringmedown1900

    Well done trooper!

  • one of my old teachers passed out at that concert bcause of all the smoke in the air

  • @garrettanderson983 oh yeah, my uncle told me the music plus the smoke made you somewhat confused, but it was agreat concert

  • anyone know what place this was at? like, the stadium... just want to know... for my next visit to dallas

  • The Dallas Memorial Auditorium.

  • YES!! THAT's IT. It was Mrs. Von Zeppelin who gave them the name. "You nice boys are so cute, please us my husband's name for your band."

Oh wait, didn't she say "No way" at one point?

    Muhuhawhawhaw.

Nonetheleass, the name went over well, and provided a lasting memory to all.

  • So why are they so popular?.

  • BITCH says tourettes guy hes dead and he knows what a fuck head like u is

  • WRONG!!

The name came from the Who's bass player, after being asked to join the group, said it will go over like a "lead ballon." Change that to "Led Zeppelin," and you have a catch. 1968.

  • wrong !! peter grant gave jimmy page the name when he said that "the new yardbirds is like a led zeppelin"

    read it in cream magizine

  • actually, you're both wrong. jimmy page used to hang out with KIETH MOON all the time. he told moon about his band being called 'the new yardbirds' and moon said that would fly over like a lead zeppelin. it was a pretty common term in britain in the 60's. page put it on there and pete grant told them to change the spelling so "thick headed americans" wouldn't mispronounce it. and now ya know.

ps- peter grant wouldnt say they were like a led zeppelin anyway, they had huge success right away.

  • samuelshepard is correct about the name Led Zeppelin....

  • @samuelshepard I remember my friend telling me that story. I remember him saying that when Zep took off, Keith Moon must have been like "Ooohh shit" for making that comment.

  • @samuelshepard actually yer all wrong but sam's the closest lol jimmy was smoozin keith moon and toyin round the idea of a supergroup with him Entwistle and clapton (was either clapton or steve winwood, but it WAS the guys from the Who) thats when Moon said it would go down like a lead balloon...which was a phrase from some english show during that time

  • @Rockczar i meant he was telling moon about his band, called at THE TIME, the new yardbirds. winwood was there not clapton.

  • @samuelshepard infact YOUR wrong richard cole said in his book that it actually wasnt Keith Moon it was John Entwhistle who came up with the name

  • @MixxMasterKid You do realize that Cole is a brain damaged drug addict who had to hire someone to write his book for him because he's too stupid to string two words together by himself don't you?

  • @40AcreMule no but Jimmy Page has confirmed it himself numerous times soo.

  • samuelshepard is right.

  • agreed with sam.

  • acually a zepplin is a type of blimp and he said it will go over like a lead zepplin

it was invent as a side project after the hindinburge to move supplys work but had a poor design for many years

  • I heard that they called themselves Led Zeppelin because before they became big, a critic told them that their band would fly like a led zeppelin. Obviously HE WAS WRONG!!! Led Zeppelin rocks!

  • crash like a led zeppellin...not fly

  • hey, this band may just have a chance at the big time :-)

  • your kidding right?

  • you picked up on that huh?

  • yea dude ha they would get picked up even today

  • dude they already were mad famous when they made this song

  • really, Led Zeppelin. Never heard of em

  • haha sarcasm

  • chance at the big time?

they were the definition of the big time

  • Eh, never heard of em
