@StrikeFyre that's the western take. thais don't do this. it really depends what your focus is and i think it's unfair to say that every thai needs to do this and that. people who stay in muay thai will have a better time of getting intimate with the clinch, and how to kick. people who learn boxing first then move on to mt will have a different stance and will bob and weave, which would be fatal in mt. it just depends on your personal needs. if your goal is mma, then sure learn boxing first
@ubersum1 true true but a lot of boxing slips work in muay thai (take the leg kick counter to a cross punch) pretty sweet. Boxing in general helps with hand speed, which is needed, even in muay thai. I just think it would help. and from a self defense aspect i think boxing is a valuable counter part to muay thai because those leg kicks can be thrown even while wearing jeans and punches (or palm if you're unsure of busting your knucks) and teeps are handy in jeans too, just not those high kicks
This is the 3rd video in a row where ive seen the Muay Thai guy win.. i love boxing, a lot. It sucks. But you have to think, a lot of muay thai fighters learn boxing before learning how to kick and knee, and etc (in america, not thailand). think of it as a bowling ball if u hit a bowling ball it wouldnt feel a thing but if it hits you then ur down u can compare it to that, thats the way of muay thai taking a beating and giving out a beating thats why our sport is the strongest even for a ground fighter he may win on the floor but for that to happen he needs to get a thai fighter on the ground and trust me that aint easy......
muay thai beats everything, the boxer has advantage using his hands??no thats not true muay thai fighters have one of the most powerfull punches. And thai fighters can take more punishment than other sports.Thai fighters are stand up fighters try fighting a match standing up while ur whole body is bruised up.MMA fighters are ground fighters when ur on the ground u can catch ur breath in muay thai not thats taking a beating the whole fight which makes u stronger.
@MuayFighterThai Are you kidding me? Fight Science proved that the punch of a boxer is twice as strong as a the Karate punch which comes in at second. The boxer just has the best punch out. Muay Thai fighters punch slowly like girls whereas with just hands boxers are blindingly fast managing 5-6 punches a second even. Boxers take alot of punishment but mainly in the head- there is nothing harder than trying to fight off a rattling brain halfway throught a fight. PS. Thai fights= 4founds Box=12rd
@musood6630 fight science is so stupid you can't compare the punch of different individuals in different styles. The boxer was obviously a better puncher than the karate guy. However, if you put in a different boxer and a stronger karateka then the results will be different.
@musood6630 well i guess your brain is already rattled a long time ago because you saying mt fighters hit like girls?are you even a fighter man??......i spar allot against boxers and they move around allot making combos but i use my legs to keep them away the legs are not trained so how could they come in close and punch?and plus i use the clinch and the knees..after a few lowkicks they already asking me to stop kicking they start crying like a baby because they cant handle pain.
@Ztevenization Punching wise a boxer shits on a MT fighter. It does not take a genius to realize that. The boxer has the gamechanger. I spar MT people and what bothers me is leg kicks but since I've learnt to check them it's not been to bad- a sore shin and thigh here adn there. But they head kicks are telegraphed. Any reasonable boxer can dodge them easy. The MT fighters have trouble slipping jabs. Easy targets.
@musood6630 and ther is no need to slip jabs why should we ?its not called muay thai for nothing we use the rest of the weapons in stead of 1 we got 8.....now tell me will 1 weapon win against 8?i think the chance is small dont you think so but anyways u stick with your special boxing moves and fighting with broken hands and brain damage woooww you are so strong dhahahahha
@Ztevenization Continue with your localised uncivilised sport. Lol MT, I mean it's one of those fighting arts where you can start at 20 and become world champion. Anyone can do it. Competition is shit.
@musood6630 uncivilised?so what if its that who gives a fuck at least its a real men sport now thats a fighting sport and everybody knows that mt beats boxing any other sports beats boxing nobody even talks about boxing anymore boxing was cool in the mohammed ali time but this is 2011-2012 that time is gone its time for new fresh blood yehhhh and thats how it is
@musood6630 but i must add that in MT bobbing slipping and weaving is used by fighters to control distance and go in for close range clinch where you can perform take downs and knee the opponent when they are pressed to the bottom of the ropes or on the way down to the matt, as opposed to medium range clinch where both fighters exchange blows from an upright position.
@musood6630 really depends on the quality of MT fighters that you face, most thai kids that go pro can spend a whole month learning the jab before they are allowed to learn cross n so forth, i live in hong kong and i am lucky to be able to train with several current and ex thai champs and i can vouch that they have very good boxing skills, slipping, weaving, footwork, its all there but they dont use it much in a real match because punching scores the lowest in traditional thai rules
@musood6630 you are basing all your facts on 1 program?? i dont think you are even a fighter,im a fighter i train muay thai and i fight against other sports to including bjj, mma, boxing and tkd.U win some and you lose some we are trained to take a beating and give out a beating
@musood6630 u claiming thai fights 4 rounds??,its 5 rounds-3 mins , listen what i am about to write we fight 5 rounds 3 mins of kneeing,ellbows,kicks,punches,clinching....boxers only try to hit eachother in the face of torso with the punches it maybe more rounds but not more damage....try taking all those things i mentioned to your head ,liver, ribs, and legs and finishing a match while injured in those spots......then a halfway rattling brain doenst sound bad to me at all......does it to you?
@Ztevenization We fight up to 12 rounds and it was up to 15 rounds. Getting hit in the brain consistently causes more permanent damage then just a kciks and elbows all over. Boxers fight with broken hands, broken orbital bones, busted eardrums etc. because the damage is concentrated. I'd rather ahve damage dispersed than concentrated to the head. Besides as I said before the punch of a boxer is fast and strong whereas an MT kick as with all kicks is telgraphed and slow vs punches
@musood6630 man u really dont know a thing about mt fighting man really, boxing sucks thats for wimps boxing is the basic for all fighting sport it starts out with punches in all martial arts sport u punch so aint nothing special about boxing, boxing is weak all other sports dominate boxing and mt smashes thru boxiers its all nice the foot work and stuff but weak very weak and this video is one the the many vids that prove that mt wins agaisnt boxing...so does other martial sports boxing= bullshit
@musood6630 suck balls??i knew you was gay because u box boxers are the gay fighters in martial sports its 2 guys trying to get close to eachother and wanna kiss but on tv they swing their hands around so it looks like they are fighting but they are secretly in love.Any one can beat up a boxer its no big deal, and those mtf u spar with seem very weak i think they just watched a few moves on youtube and try to copy it to look dangerous...
@musood6630 and why mtf punch weakly is cuz no1 wants to touch a gay man we rather kick the shit outta them thats why the many kicks to keep the distance.Boxing is so weak everyone who started out as a boxer switch sports because its no good.Start at 20? in thailand the mtf start out at 6 years or even younger from the moment they can walk the start training once again u showing that u dont know anything about mt,u are just a person who likes boxing and think its the dangerous sport out there
@musood6630 i dont even think u are a fighter u just saying so to make it look like u know about the fighting game u just some kid sitting behind his computer and talking shit about mt why dont u say that to a mtf face? but 1 day u gonna feel the true power of a mtf when your skull is smashed, ribs cracked, and legs broken were u from?im from holland,a country with worlds most best kickboxers look it up and u will see how many dutch fighters are in k1 and mma
(true boxers would throw a good punch with the use of the pushing powers of their legs and slight twisting action of their hips for a hook, and also i noticed that his not even throwing jabs! jabs establish range and setups combos WHICH IS ESSENTIAL TO A BOXER.)
all i can see in the fight is that the muay thai fighter exploited the boxers weakness which the boxer did not defend effectively, and in addition to that, the boxer was not good at boxing at all! His stance is flawed, his punching style is oviously flawed, no foot work at all, and last and most important of all HIS LEGS ARE WEAK! boxers should have solid legs for balance! which as i had seen it only took 1 blow on his thigh and his down..
Why does it have to be so complicated? Boxer uses arms and dosent hit below belt, Muy Tai uses arms and legs and hits below the belt constantly. Obv the tai guy is gonna win, he actually won due to a below the belt blow. Boxers arent trained to fight or defend with with their legs (this guy obv adapted learning to block with his legs), so theyre obv gonna lose to someone that is. Its always nice to see someone once in a while overcome this handicap though
@TheSweatyfatguy No it's called a boxer vs a muay thai fighter. It's completely fair, is it not fair that the muay thai fighter spent hours on end conditioning his shins and legs? Something the other guy didn't do? Yeah.
@cpaignboxing the thai fighter obviously has an advantage kicking, but I wouldn't consider the boxer punching an advantage. lets just say that the thai fighter wins every time k? haha
@DawgFL Okay then explain yourself. The boxer works more on punching right? The muay thai fighter works on both so his punching will not be as crisp or as effective. Pretty simple. U dont see anywhere near the punching power or punching capabilities in Muay ti or kickboxing as u do in Pro Boxing
@cpaignboxing Yes the boxer works more on punching. Doesn't always make the boxer a better puncher ok? And the main reason why thai fighters dont have as powerful forces is NOT because they train less, its because of their WEIGHT. There is a certain point in training punches when you can't improve the power unless one gains extra WEIGHT. get your facts straight
People saying that it's unfair. How can it be unfair? the boxer is using what he was taught and so is the muay Thai fighter. Only reason boxing loses everytime is because it lacks any skill except punching. I would trust muay Thai to protect me on the street. It's not unfair. You're just stupid.
Makes sense. Even if he didn't tear up his legs, people have to understand a boxer isn't used to conditioning his forearms to kicks either. Being a Taekwondo artist, taking a kick to the forearm is painful if you don't train for it.
si hubiese sido en la calle el de box lo desfiguraba, de hecho q con guantes evitan q la cara del peliador de muaythai qedara bien, tambien tenemos q decir q el boxeador no es necesariamente un buan boxeador...
Nice excuses boxing fans. Muay thai is boxing, with kicks, knees, and elbows. It is better in a street fight, as long as you know what your doing. Also how many boxing matches end in the first minute?? The more tools you have to use, the more dangerous you are.
@FullVolumesOnly Overpower him with what? Is there something we don't know about him? Is he also a grappler? An 'anything goes' match would give the Thai boxer a full advantage, employing his clinch, elbows and knees to the body and face. Just looking at the match and how the boxer had no idea how to deal with those kicks, he would have had no chance in an all out street fight.
actually another name for it is foot jabbing. and muay thai is superior to boxing since muay thai is caled the art of 8 limbs boxing is only 2 limbs. besides muay thai was made to destroy the opponent. so there is no shame that a boxer would lose to a muay thai fighter. but it would be a shame is some boxer lied about it
@Thelilpimp112....Really bro??? Boxer dominates every fighting sport?? I can tell u know shit about fighting !!! Howcome boxing wins ?? Boxer weapons :punches ........mma weapons : punches ,kicks ,wrestling ,knees elbows ,submission ......now dumbass explain to me would a boxer win .??.azzhole !!!! Cop vs soldier?? Same shit
This is a ameture boxer but he did pretty good the mui Thai guy is a pro and had his ass handed to him the whole 1 min fight if you put a pro boxer in there mui Thai wood loose boxer dominate every fighting sport
@TheLilPimp112 are you fuckin kidding me? did you miss the james toney vs randy couture fight or somthing boxing is 1 dimensional and weak mma proves the sweet science only works on people who wont throw knees and elbows
Get into a dojo ,sign up and do some training before you try have an opinion , note that i have an informed opinion because i actualy do real traning and i dont comment on the fighters ,i comment on your crap because you dont know what your talking about,(an informed opinion is the only one that matters) please stop running your mouths unless you are qualified or trained in thes matters .
haha you realy cant see how gay you guys are being can you? instead of sitting on your lazy ass's eating pop tarts and playing with yourselves why dont you go to a muay thai ,boxing or mma dojo and do some real training instead of making dumb comments on somebody elses hard work(they both trained hard to be there ,i know i sure do) Too many people have an uninformed opinion on everything ,ps the whole freedome of speech and right to have your own opinion is bullshit,
@ninuxy just like when one of the gracies got knocked the fuck out trying for a takedown against a muay thai fighter shut your shite bjj is a good art but muay thai is also just as good
@gmcl1983 Ya, a knee slip. But someone with solid Jujitsu skill can still overcome a Muay Thai boxer if both are moderately unfamiliar with striking or grappling respectively.
@ninuxy You wouldn't judge Muay Thai with vid becuase it isn't real Muay Thai. Muay Thai isn't kickboxing. If you don't beleave you can test Muay Thai with yourself. Are you brave?
@ninuxy Lol I wasn't even talking about rhetoric. Dicto Simpliciter meaning "Stated Simply". You made a sweeping generalization without considering other factors. Not all fighters are the same. It all depends on the skill, not the style.
@eon2569 Usually, logical fallacies is one of the topics taught in beginners rhetoric courses, hence the reference to you rampaging through the notes as if that somehow gives you an edge.
Read my follow up comments on this same thread and stop skiing on everyone's piss.
@EnglishTurtle He would yes. But I think it would be interesting to see how well he does. These videos always show the boxer fighting in the style he is not used to or conditioned for. A boxers legs are going to be a very easy target for anyone who can kick. Or maybe only allow kicks above the waist?
@otispowell2 Yes it would definitely be better for the Boxer to condition his legs but let's face it the Thai Boxer has conditioned them for probably his whole life.
I Just think it would be interesting so see the Thai boxer out of his comfort zone. I'm not saying it would be a particularly great fight would just be good to see how he dealt with it that's all.
At the end of the day fights like this against a pure boxer are a bit pointless.
@tidydannyboy it only takes a few years to get your shins/kegs in the shape you want it. I've seen wrestlers with no striking skills reach that level often at AKA.
A boxer can learn To kick and will be better than a kickboxer, Muay Thay is hard ; But Boxing skills are far superior i mear about punching, Fusion fighters are better than traditional fighters for example an expert boxer, and good skills in muay thai will be better than a muay thai fighter.
Boxing has been limited to using hands only since the introduction of the Marquess of Queensberry rules in England 1867 Because of that a lot of techniques such as Kicking, knees, head butts and throws have been forgotten and can only be found in old books and manuals. A More of a fair match up would have been to see an old Boxer from when Broughton's rules 1743 or London Prize Ring rules 1838 fight Muay thai. Even maybe a Savate Fighter. least then they wouldnt be limited to one set of tools.
I don't understand why they organise Muay thai vs boxing matches.. Isn't it clear that this is so unfair.. Many of these matches end because boxers are just not used being kicked in the leg...
Every thai or kick boxer will agree, a good low kick hurts way more then it looks!
@AMENAZAwarriorbear Mm, might be a little bit less unfair, but still. To me they are 2 completely different sports and shouldn'n be matched up, at least not in competition/commercial fights.
I can tell you, if your tigh is not trained to endure low kicks, or if you lack the training to counter his repeated identical kicks the thai/kick boxer will try to soften up the same spot..
The boxer has more "weak spots" because he didn't train for this and by not doing so, lacks the countering-technique.
I think that so long as boxer wish to test their skills against other styles of fight I say we should let them as it will help them to become better boxers. Although the Muay Thai fighter may have more tools in his arsenal I do not think that gives him the clear advantage over the boxer who has the superior technique. In general boxers are more accurate with their strikes and hit hard than Muay Thai fighter so if anyone has the advantage it is the boxer.
@Missschele it's not fair because these events are usually huge mismatches with some inexpedienced boxer fighting a successful Muay Thai/kickboxer/MMA fighter
For every one of these fights the boxer usually has a lousy record or is merely a shadow of any former success he had in the ring
@ECWTNAWWFfan Boxers are one dimensional. The cannot use their legs nor kick nor elbow nor knee. They may have the advantage in punching but they are lacking too much in the other areas of striking.
@ECWTNAWWFfan silly little kicks and knees... u serious????? have u ever seen a muay thai match? those little kicks and knees would fuck yo shit Up any day
Kicking is too slow unless ur bruce lee

Boxers take alot of punishment but mainly in the head- there is nothing harder than trying to fight off a rattling brain halfway throught a fight. PS. Thai fights= 4founds Box=12rd
musood6630 2 months ago
@musood6630 fight science is so stupid you can't compare the punch of different individuals in different styles. The boxer was obviously a better puncher than the karate guy. However, if you put in a different boxer and a stronger karateka then the results will be different.
mangodealer 2 months ago
@musood6630 well i guess your brain is already rattled a long time ago because you saying mt fighters hit like girls?are you even a fighter man??......i spar allot against boxers and they move around allot making combos but i use my legs to keep them away the legs are not trained so how could they come in close and punch?and plus i use the clinch and the knees..after a few lowkicks they already asking me to stop kicking they start crying like a baby because they cant handle pain.
Ztevenization 2 months ago
@Ztevenization Punching wise a boxer shits on a MT fighter. It does not take a genius to realize that. The boxer has the gamechanger. I spar MT people and what bothers me is leg kicks but since I've learnt to check them it's not been to bad- a sore shin and thigh here adn there. But they head kicks are telegraphed. Any reasonable boxer can dodge them easy. The MT fighters have trouble slipping jabs. Easy targets.
musood6630 2 months ago
@musood6630 and ther is no need to slip jabs why should we ?its not called muay thai for nothing we use the rest of the weapons in stead of 1 we got 8.....now tell me will 1 weapon win against 8?i think the chance is small dont you think so but anyways u stick with your special boxing moves and fighting with broken hands and brain damage woooww you are so strong dhahahahha
Ztevenization 2 months ago
@Ztevenization Continue with your localised uncivilised sport. Lol MT, I mean it's one of those fighting arts where you can start at 20 and become world champion. Anyone can do it. Competition is shit.
musood6630 2 months ago
@musood6630 uncivilised?so what if its that who gives a fuck at least its a real men sport now thats a fighting sport and everybody knows that mt beats boxing any other sports beats boxing nobody even talks about boxing anymore boxing was cool in the mohammed ali time but this is 2011-2012 that time is gone its time for new fresh blood yehhhh and thats how it is
Ztevenization 2 months ago
@musood6630 It's not the style it's the fighter
TheRepublicPanda 2 months ago
@musood6630 but i must add that in MT bobbing slipping and weaving is used by fighters to control distance and go in for close range clinch where you can perform take downs and knee the opponent when they are pressed to the bottom of the ropes or on the way down to the matt, as opposed to medium range clinch where both fighters exchange blows from an upright position.
zianchampionsounds 2 months ago
@musood6630 really depends on the quality of MT fighters that you face, most thai kids that go pro can spend a whole month learning the jab before they are allowed to learn cross n so forth, i live in hong kong and i am lucky to be able to train with several current and ex thai champs and i can vouch that they have very good boxing skills, slipping, weaving, footwork, its all there but they dont use it much in a real match because punching scores the lowest in traditional thai rules
zianchampionsounds 2 months ago
@musood6630 you are basing all your facts on 1 program?? i dont think you are even a fighter,im a fighter i train muay thai and i fight against other sports to including bjj, mma, boxing and tkd.U win some and you lose some we are trained to take a beating and give out a beating
Ztevenization 2 months ago
@musood6630 u claiming thai fights 4 rounds??,its 5 rounds-3 mins , listen what i am about to write we fight 5 rounds 3 mins of kneeing,ellbows,kicks,punches,clinching....boxers only try to hit eachother in the face of torso with the punches it maybe more rounds but not more damage....try taking all those things i mentioned to your head ,liver, ribs, and legs and finishing a match while injured in those spots......then a halfway rattling brain doenst sound bad to me at all......does it to you?
Ztevenization 2 months ago
@Ztevenization We fight up to 12 rounds and it was up to 15 rounds. Getting hit in the brain consistently causes more permanent damage then just a kciks and elbows all over. Boxers fight with broken hands, broken orbital bones, busted eardrums etc. because the damage is concentrated. I'd rather ahve damage dispersed than concentrated to the head. Besides as I said before the punch of a boxer is fast and strong whereas an MT kick as with all kicks is telgraphed and slow vs punches
musood6630 2 months ago
@musood6630 man u really dont know a thing about mt fighting man really, boxing sucks thats for wimps boxing is the basic for all fighting sport it starts out with punches in all martial arts sport u punch so aint nothing special about boxing, boxing is weak all other sports dominate boxing and mt smashes thru boxiers its all nice the foot work and stuff but weak very weak and this video is one the the many vids that prove that mt wins agaisnt boxing...so does other martial sports boxing= bullshit
Ztevenization 2 months ago
@Ztevenization Muay Thai people punch very very weaky. I have sparred with Muay Thai fighters in punching only and they sucks balls.
musood6630 2 months ago
@musood6630 suck balls??i knew you was gay because u box boxers are the gay fighters in martial sports its 2 guys trying to get close to eachother and wanna kiss but on tv they swing their hands around so it looks like they are fighting but they are secretly in love.Any one can beat up a boxer its no big deal, and those mtf u spar with seem very weak i think they just watched a few moves on youtube and try to copy it to look dangerous...
Ztevenization 2 months ago
@musood6630 and why mtf punch weakly is cuz no1 wants to touch a gay man we rather kick the shit outta them thats why the many kicks to keep the distance.Boxing is so weak everyone who started out as a boxer switch sports because its no good.Start at 20? in thailand the mtf start out at 6 years or even younger from the moment they can walk the start training once again u showing that u dont know anything about mt,u are just a person who likes boxing and think its the dangerous sport out there
Ztevenization 2 months ago
@musood6630 i dont even think u are a fighter u just saying so to make it look like u know about the fighting game u just some kid sitting behind his computer and talking shit about mt why dont u say that to a mtf face? but 1 day u gonna feel the true power of a mtf when your skull is smashed, ribs cracked, and legs broken were u from?im from holland,a country with worlds most best kickboxers look it up and u will see how many dutch fighters are in k1 and mma
Ztevenization 2 months ago
(true boxers would throw a good punch with the use of the pushing powers of their legs and slight twisting action of their hips for a hook, and also i noticed that his not even throwing jabs! jabs establish range and setups combos WHICH IS ESSENTIAL TO A BOXER.)
aceloncion 2 months ago
all i can see in the fight is that the muay thai fighter exploited the boxers weakness which the boxer did not defend effectively, and in addition to that, the boxer was not good at boxing at all!

BurnChris518 3 months ago
@BurnChris518 no handicap really, the boxer is free to punch his leg or even attempt a kick at it lol
TheSweatyfatguy 3 months ago
@TheSweatyfatguy No it's called a boxer vs a muay thai fighter. It's completely fair, is it not fair that the muay thai fighter spent hours on end conditioning his shins and legs? Something the other guy didn't do? Yeah.
DawgFL 3 months ago
@DawgFL Exactly. For the same reason the boxer will have an advantage punching and the muay ti fighter will have advantage kicking.
cpaignboxing 3 months ago
@cpaignboxing the thai fighter obviously has an advantage kicking, but I wouldn't consider the boxer punching an advantage. lets just say that the thai fighter wins every time k? haha
DawgFL 3 months ago
@DawgFL Okay then explain yourself. The boxer works more on punching right? The muay thai fighter works on both so his punching will not be as crisp or as effective. Pretty simple. U dont see anywhere near the punching power or punching capabilities in Muay ti or kickboxing as u do in Pro Boxing
cpaignboxing 2 months ago
@cpaignboxing Yes the boxer works more on punching. Doesn't always make the boxer a better puncher ok? And the main reason why thai fighters dont have as powerful forces is NOT because they train less, its because of their WEIGHT. There is a certain point in training punches when you can't improve the power unless one gains extra WEIGHT. get your facts straight
DawgFL 2 months ago

Makes sense. Even if he didn't tear up his legs, people have to understand a boxer isn't used to conditioning his forearms to kicks either. Being a Taekwondo artist, taking a kick to the forearm is painful if you don't train for it.

Nice excuses boxing fans. Muay thai is boxing, with kicks, knees, and elbows. It is better in a street fight, as long as you know what your doing. Also how many boxing matches end in the first minute?? The more tools you have to use, the more dangerous you are.
ganjakidd95 5 months ago
@ganjakidd95 to be completely fair, if this turned into a street fight, i personally belive the boxer would over power him, easily
FullVolumesOnly 4 months ago

EnglishTurtle 8 months ago
@EnglishTurtle He would yes. But I think it would be interesting to see how well he does. These videos always show the boxer fighting in the style he is not used to or conditioned for. A boxers legs are going to be a very easy target for anyone who can kick. Or maybe only allow kicks above the waist?
tidydannyboy 8 months ago
@tidydannyboy thats just stupid
all styles have their strengths and weaknesses as a boxer would it not be better to condition your legs if its a known big weakness?
for all this above the waist rubbish thats the style for the thai boxer. if he doesnt like then change to a different art lol
otispowell2 8 months ago
@otispowell2 Yes it would definitely be better for the Boxer to condition his legs but let's face it the Thai Boxer has conditioned them for probably his whole life.
I Just think it would be interesting so see the Thai boxer out of his comfort zone. I'm not saying it would be a particularly great fight would just be good to see how he dealt with it that's all.
At the end of the day fights like this against a pure boxer are a bit pointless.
tidydannyboy 8 months ago 5

Every thai or kick boxer will agree, a good low kick hurts way more then it looks!

agree
hey !
what if boxer is like..50 pounds heavyer than the thay fighter ?
and...
some inches taller ?
AMENAZAwarriorbear 6 months ago
@AMENAZAwarriorbear Mm, might be a little bit less unfair, but still. To me they are 2 completely different sports and shouldn'n be matched up, at least not in competition/commercial fights.
I can tell you, if your tigh is not trained to endure low kicks, or if you lack the training to counter his repeated identical kicks the thai/kick boxer will try to soften up the same spot..
The boxer has more "weak spots" because he didn't train for this and by not doing so, lacks the countering-technique.
Missschele 6 months ago
I think that so long as boxer wish to test their skills against other styles of fight I say we should let them as it will help them to become better boxers. Although the Muay Thai fighter may have more tools in his arsenal I do not think that gives him the clear advantage over the boxer who has the superior technique. In general boxers are more accurate with their strikes and hit hard than Muay Thai fighter so if anyone has the advantage it is the boxer.
