  • Total bullseye! This could be on a Beatles album and it would be one of the better songs. Hot damn!

  • This is about that biznich, Heather Mlls. I love you, Paul!!!

  • For months this song has been in my mind, I finally found it!

  • Such a cool song. The piano & harpsichord are awesome.

  • wish this wasn't so over produced sounding... this is like, the beatles in year 2063 or something.

  • press 2 and you`le hre a jood

  • genius!

  • The Way he sings low notes drives me crazy!!! Jeez, i love Paul!

  • Paul Mccartney + Matt Bellamy = They have to make a new religion for this.

  • chocolate rain.. oh wait

  • Happy Birthday Paul McCartney

  • So this is a song (in my interpretation) about a man on a roof, and that ladies and gentleman is why Paul McCartney is a genius

  • @csvictory12 Paul confirmed that himself. It's about a guy sitting on the ledge of a building.

  • This is the best song he has written since the 80's...

  • Gotta love the photo at the very beginning.

  • I couldn't even think of 65-year-old Paul making me such a gift of writing and recording Mr. Bellamy... Who else on this damned planet could create such a piece of art? Oh my...

  • In this song he hits very low notes and very high. He has a fantastic vocal range. And he doesn't even have a drink of water during his live shows. What a freak of nature!

  • This was almost automatcally my favorite song on the album as soon as I got it!!! =D ♥

  • I'm surprised this song didn't get more recognition. I thought it was one of the best on the album. Oh well.....

  • matthew bellamy <3

  • Memory Almost Full was recorded beginning in 2003 and completed in 2006. It was sent for album art and disc manufacture in March, 2007 to be in time for a June 1, 2007 release. This is clearly one month before Chocolate Rain debuted on the Internet on April 22, 2007. There is no way Paul could have heard Chocolate Rain in 2006 at the time Mr. Bellamy was recorded. It is either a coincidence or Mr. Bellamy was bootlegged or the piano piece heard by someone who used it out of turn.

  • Sir Paul McCartney -- yeah, the guy from the Beatles -- approached Thom Yorke about recording a duet, but Yorke, who has previously collaborated with Björk and notably PJ Harvey on her tune "This Mess We're In," denied the rock legend. Perhaps he's more of a John kind of guy?

  • @ZurGiOfficial He turned Paul down he says because he thought the piano piece was too difficult for him to complete properly and do justice to. That is a direct quote from Thom Yorke.

  • The song's title 'Mister Bellamy' is an anagram of "Mills betray me"

  • @SuperHeimann1 Hahaha you think? Oh my... Suspicious Mind

  • I don't know about you guys, but it seems like this song seems to be displaying a method of parenting or something. Like, when Mr. Bellamy refuses to come down, the people are like, "We're going to force you to come down, we don't care what you say, Blahblahblah." But then things kind of get softer and they just start begging, just like, "Come down." Like parents when they yell and scream to get the child to do something, but then a few hours later, they burst into tears to convince them. Stupid

  • the message is actually mr bellamy and if you say it slowly it says mills betrays me

  • Is it bad that this reminds me of 'Chocolate Rain'?

  • @Nullo247 yes

  • @Nullo247 Chocolate Rain copies off this song if there is any copying--not the other way around. Mr. Bellamy pre-dates Chocolate Rain by about 1 year.

  • "Steady lads, easy does it, don't frighten him."-best line

  • Man I wish he played this song live.

  • this song is so badass

  • I think we've all had days when we feel like this song :( But it's cool! apperantly Our Little Macca can write more than nursery rhymes

  • great song! i love the slightly bitchy tone lol

  • chocolate rain lol

  • Haha I thought that too!

  • reminds me of the sparks

  • Comment removed

  • still got it in him!

  • Psychedelicwatermelon, he meant the piano, I think.

  • Great song by Paul

  • Tormented souls create heavenly music.

  • This should be on Sgt Pepper. Its John and Paul.

It is also personal to Paul, like House of Wax and some of the songs off Flowers in the Dirt - You know the rumours that Linda was going to leave him, check it out xx

  • What are you talking about? :-)

  • doesnt this sound like chocolate rain?

  • Paul Mccartney is not black!

  • ★★★★★

  • my fav of memory almost full

  • Mister Bellamy

    Mills betrayed me...

It makes sence... and McCartney's certainly one who jumps at the chance to hide messages to his MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of fans (YOU HATERS!) Seeing as he was the "Paul is Dead" subject...

  • mister bellamy does not spell mills betrayed me, theres is no d in mister bellamy sp you can not spell betrayeD!

  • I never said anything about spelling, I just said they both make sence...

  • oh nvm mind then, ur right srry

  • I believe its called lyrical interpretation, friend. And it's quite possible that the artist made a small message in his lyrics, who knows?

  • i typed my WoW character's name and this came up, i was pleasantly surprised.

  • Chickeemonkey... someone who enjoys WoW and has good taste in music? A rare combo indeed...

  • Bellamy? Matthew? lol jk

I laughed a lot when I first took a listen to this lol

wow P-mac sounds so fucking young!

  • You can come on to my HOUSE OF WAX and sing GRATITUDE if you want to, you can meet MR BELLAMY too, stomp73 is gonna stomp on shit, meris123 really is on heat, hpug is gonna dance around tonight.

  • The man is a beast. He beats the disabled with sticks

  • The fact that Macca has so many fans must really get under your skin...ROFL

  • Muse over paul mccartney? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahha

  • mr bellamy?

    matt bellamy?

thats all i could think about during this song lol

i personally would pick muse any day over paul mcCartney

yes that was probably completely irrelevant concerning the video but oh well xD

  • we ll hve u down soon up site mtwv daun

  • jesus he sounds about 25 years old! listen to that voice...

  • Yes

I was pleasantly surprised by the album

  • @jamierourketen

No he don't... He's got a GREAT voice, but he doesn't sound 25! What kind of 25-yearolds do you hang with? ;P

Love this song by the way.

  • @lerskapare I think that was a compliment. some have suggested Paul's voice has gotten old and croaky with age, and this one proves it hasn't

  • @kitty9tales I didn't mean to criticize Jamie, I was just trying to be funny. I often fail... ;)

  • This was the only song on that album that struck me as great.

  • This is such a great song. It so reminds of myself and my current situation. (sure, call me emo, freaks.. xP )

  • A very good song me encanta Paul

  • Hey Doug -"ANAGRAMS -

Mister Bellamy = Mills betray me

Memory Almost full = For my soulmate LLM"

My Dad and I were talking about these last week! Poor Paul.

Anyway, this whole album was really great. I've enjoyed it. But I love Paul and always will, same with all those boys who walked Abbey.

  • yeah, same here. the beatles gave so much in their young lives and we continue to love em. paul is great and we love him so. good on you phoenixAsh333!!

  • Your a bit thick pal. Do you have learning difficulties? I bet your a big soft Jessie who likes licking bum-holes. Knobhead.

  • no he didnt!Where did you hear that george w bush telling some other lies

  • i dont know where you have been!probaly in a closet.Go back to pre- school and learn to spell hideous

  • ANAGRAMS -

Mister Bellamy = Mills betray me

Memory Almost full = For my soulmate LLM

  • Great song, Macca is a genius.

  • That would have been the ultimative reunion song for the Beatles in 1995. Imagine, if Paul and george sang together the backing vocals. The deep voice part would be sang by Ringo and Paul (the part at 1:02). That's an amazing idea..

  • how self-congratulatory of you!

  • Ok, relax...

  • Great song! Modern with Beatles style! Interesting! It's kind of little "head-cinema".

  • PAUL STILL ROCKS ! HE'S A GENIOUS

  • these songs are for fans hpug, so y do u listen to it in the 1th place,, lol...

  • Arone64, despite being a Beatles fan, I can't help but be amazed at how bad Ringo Starr's drumming is. Most bands in the early 60's, with a few exceptions, HAD to use a session drummer. On songs like You Won't See me people can be given the impression he is intentionally slowing down the tempo; it works, but at least a few more takese - or a sess drummer - would've made the records better.

  • paul still has it! still making great music!

  • the piano in the begginning sounds a bit like Chocolate rain

  • Is this his best song since band on the run? I think Paul has only had a handful of great songs post-Beatles, and with Maybe I'm Amazed and some of the Chaos and Creation tracks like Jenny Wren this is the tops. Though this one has a certain magical mystery tour-ish vibe to it.

  • the paino bit at the end is really beautiful but at the same time its creepy

so weird.. I LOVE IT :)

  • Who is singing the "Steady lads, Easy Does It" part? That's my favorite part of this song! :)

  • um paul i think

  • Yeah it is prob paul on some filter or just computer trickery

  • So nice,as any Beatles song. This is Beatles song with "Ringos" drums.

  • oops, in my last comment i forgot the word best. it was supposed to be like this: this is one of the songs sir paul has EVER made. He is a wonderful caring person. He also recently had some kind of heart surgery. So show some respect! rate and discuss this version please

  • beautiful and...sad :(

  • this is one of the songs sir paul has EVER made. He is a wonderful caring person. He also recently had some king of heart surgery. So show some respect!

  • and if you dont like the song, then dont comment on it. I personally like oldies, no rap or new rock crap, but this one is AMAZING. So stop arguing

  • OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!

  • Very well said.

  • hpug...what is your problem? Why do you spend so much time on Mccartney songs if you obviously don't care for him? Pretty safe to know you're a freak if you can honestly say you don't like Mccartney. Just for fun, tell me your idea of good music? Go away hpug.

  • I love the dark beat to this song. esp. the piano!

  • Hats off!! Go Macca go!!

  • Paul McCartney I've loved you and your music for a long time. This is a haunting and beautiful song.

  • What McCartney did here with this song is precisely what made so many of the Beatles' songs great: he did the totally unexpected.

  • I totally agree, that's what I love about the Beatles and Paul McCartney in particular! He's a very unique artist in my opinion, always experimenting with something new!

  • best song ever, best in his album, it is about a guy thinking of doing suicide, great song i love it

  • Yes i have to say, I find it possibly the most appealing song on the album as well.

  • I love this song

  • awesome, cant help it

  • Paul enjoys reading peoples ideas of what his songs are about. This one he said was a fictional character standing on a skyscraper. Will he or won't he jump. My first was that it was about a cat stuck up in a tree with fireman hanging on a limp trying to steady as the cat won't come down. Steady lads...

  • i keep 4gettin about this song...and 4get how good it is untill i listen to it...very good

  • you're a thick one, aren't you?

  • I'll never understand the lack of mentality in those who take the time to trash something they don't like...as opposed to just moving on. So many good things about the internet, and yet for all the good it is offset by those who just like to start trouble. Oh, well. Rock on, Macca!

  • ym61: You just took the time to trash me. What is the difference? You should heed your own advice and move on. The song is terrible.

  • you're doing the same.

and your opinion is fine. I'm just wondering why YOU need to take time to trash the song.

  • Oh, I don't mind taking the time to put trash in its place. The difference is people like you just like to stir up trouble. Just calling you out on it, "friend" :-) This is a great song

  • It's okay for you to "call me on it..." it doesn't matter to me. To simply go along and say this song is great would be lying. Not stirring up trouble, just chiming in. I was also putting trash in it's place, Mr. Bellamy is trash.

  • This is a new song and you are trash not the song so get it right little brat. -_-t

  • then don't listen...or comment on it.

  • I can now see where all these rantings and ravings from meris123 and his multiple personas (i.e. hpug, MaccaAttacker, etc) are coming from. It's all that rat milk that he's been gulping down as recommended by wacky Heather Mills. His desperate bid to quench his thirst as a result of the rodenticides present in his bloodstream has made him gone mad and we are all now witnessing his dumass attacks on Paul McCartney.

  • Paul rocks my socks!!!

  • It occurred to me early on that this song may have been Paul's sly comment on George Bush--("in the delusionary state" was my tip-off!

  • Good grief. The only delusionary state has to do with those who blame Bush for everything wrong in the world and their lives. I suggest you get one. Wait until Hillary gets into office if you think we have problems now! FYI - Paul described his writing of this song as an opera - made up characters.

  • Definitely my favorite song from this album.

  • ....one might think it...what say you?...Peace!

  • I know people have already made the possible link between Matt Bellamy of MUSE. It would be nice to know that Macca has given another musical genius a nod in their music.

I am writing this as I'm listening to the fantastic Matt Bellamy 'Butterflies and Hurricanes' piano solo. That always blows me away, saying that I also love the piano riff in this song; it's real good fun to play

  • jsut thinkin the same thing myself- both great musicians and signers. rock on muse and mccartney

  • This is McCartney just as in the days of Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Rocky Racoon.

  • awesome pictures. must've taken a long time to gather. good work from you and paul :D

  • great song, i love paul

  • Well, for a musician who never learned how to read music and only used his ears.... I think he's pretty damn good. All musicians have their ups and downs when they make an album. I would rather listen to the album Memory Almost Full (which I think is great) than listen to some crappy whiny emo chemical romance that's on the radio now.

  • By the by..Paul McCartney can sure as hell read music. He just wrote an oratorio. Be hard to do that if you can't read music. That's why he's so much better than a lot of todays musicians.

  • I LOVE THIS SONGGGG!!!!

  • He's so beautiful and so talented. No one else like Macca.

  • "Mr Bellamy" sounds VERY Abbey Road-ish, whispers of "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" in his piano playing and storyline. "Nod Your Head", with a bit of an "I'm The Walrus" intro, reminds me of "Helter Skelter" and "Live And Let Die" for some reason. Great to see Concord Records release it as a music video clip featuring a host of 20-something babes and Paul McCartney and posted on youtube [Video #3]. This album is a blast from the past!!!!!

  • Another great contribution from a fantastic musician!!!

  • i bet you look like a twat in your pictures

  • If anyone wanted proof against the "Paul Is Dead" conspiracy, just play him this song. He's still got it. He never lost it. No way could this NOT be Paul, it's that good. It's my favorite track on the whole "Memory Almost Full" album.

  • From a lot of posts I have read regarding McCartney's Memory Almost Full, Macca rocks with the best of Abbey Road and Sergeant Pepper's. He's still rockin' like it was the The Beatles all over again. That Was Me - one of my favorite songs on the album, it's early Beatles, sounds more like She's A Woman and convinced me to get this album.

  • hello sir..hope u like stomp video..we love souvenir..thank u 4 all u linda and heather have done 4 this world..as well as music..we look forward to seeing you..do visit davidcbeach glastonbury music 4 mandolins humour songs..the distant ones is 4 my dad..xxus

  • I LOVE this song. His best CD in a lonnng time. Waiting for the tour.

  • When I first listened to Paul's latest LP I was dissapointed. I liked only a couple of songs. After a 2nd and 3rd listening all the magic of the Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road LPs came out. Now I find myself at work with "Nod Your Head" playing over and over in my head, while at home I just can't stop playing "That Was Me" in my stereo system. The songs of MEMORY ALMOST FULL are so much like Wings and The Beatles.. it's just perfect !

  • Im loving it,what a song brilliant.

  • I love this track, the beat, tune, and lyric are bizzarly surreal. and I could imagine this on Abbey Road....it's classic Macca

  • I think i talk perfect sense.

  • Memory Almost Full is a blast from the past. "Vintage Clothes" reminds me of the magic that we got from the Sergeant Pepper's album. You also get a bit of Here Comes The Sun and Band On The Run on this track. Commentators ain't wrong when they say a lot of the tracks have a real Wings-esque sound. Thanks for the album, Paul

  • Yet annother steaming pile of shite, his head is full of sewage, every time he opens that stupid mouth it pours freely all over the floor.

  • hpug your absusive comments on these vids are purile, and frankly rather tedious. If you can't articulate a proper discussion without resorting to drivel not even worthy of the playground then just go away. You are the classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain

  • Love Paulie, great music

  • Errm...how about his integeral creative genius to the greatest rock band there ever was or will be The Beatles,if you havnt heard of them.Amazing tracks from the Wings period,on albums Like RAM and Band on The Run, Live and Let Die, Mull of Kyntire(highest selling single until Band Aid),and an entry in the Guiness Book of Records as the most successful singer song writer in history...for a start.
