That wasnt a crash, just a small rubbing. That is why I try not to show my miiling table or clamps as they have been hit a few times. 1 of the reasons I bought a Sherline first. Bridgeport later maybe.

I've never seen a HSS toolbit used on a cnc, just Carbide inserts.

Were you looking at the part or "through" the camera's screen? Sometimes I get too focused on the camera.

Yeah, cool...not the mess up, but that you actually show your mistake...happens to the best of us, and this shows any body can make a mistake, bravo on showing it.
