@sfedf1 because the guitar is equipped with Floyd-Rose style floating bridge, you don't actually use the ball ends, so you can put them in the 'wrong way round' so the ball ends are on the headstock. so instead of just normal string ends you just have the ball ends on the end of them which you cannot cut yourself with

nowadays i just cut the strings off neatly now, can't be bothered with that anymore

i think adjusting the strap length has a lot to do whether it is comfortable for somebody. try making it shorter so it brings the guitar closer to your chest so your arms don't have to stretch. look at Tom Morello ;-)

Try no to wear the guitar by your knees, yeah it may look cool but it puts alot of strain and can lead to injury.

If you want maximum comfort youll have to wear your guitar pretty high but that doesnt look particularly cool.

I find the wearing it at about belt level has the best balance between looking cool and being comfortable.

Just try and find your own sweetspot for strap length.

actually, if you want to keep a straight wrist up and down the entire neck, you're either going to need a foot stool and a nicely contoured guitar (two things many people to not have) or a strap.

Straps do make you play better if you use them right. Try it, get your strap on really tight and have your guitar angled so that the neck is kind of shooting diagonally up. You'll be pretty surprised at how consistent you can keep your wrist while playing in this position.

unfortunately the original video this was made to be a video response to has been removed. basically there was (and probably still is) this creepy perve who finds videos of young female musicians on youtube playing guitar, and has this guitar strap fetish and tells girls they HAVE to wear the strap. in kind of sarcastic fashion i'm pointing out in the video that it does help, but in actual fact it makes no difference whatsoever if you're sitting down. i hope that makes things a bit clearer

unfortunately i don't know. theoretically what you suggest would make sense, however you could also compare it to say a car, typically a car has 4 wheels, and if you put twice the wheels [8 wheels] it will not make the car twice as fast or twice as good. i suppose you have to experiment and work out the best number of straps for you. i hope that helps
