  • <3 nostalgia

  • I have a new title for this video:

Excuse me, while I fuck your shit up.

  • IMMAH FIRING MAH... gauss.

  • Hmmmm. didnt turn off heat buildup in the options by any chance?

  • @5151stang Don't need heat turned off when you're using Gauss Rifles. They're almost as heat-friendly as machine guns.

  • @oblivi0ndoll

Tis the nice thing about Guass Rifles.

  • Oh my... that is quiete fearful... Friggen super sniper exreeme...

  • the daishi is in my opinion the best mech... 100 tons epic legend^^

  • @MasterChiefNumberOnE Yup. Can't beat a mech that costs 29,000,000 C-Bills. Its well worth the money if you ask me!

  • OMG I loved blowing up in that game :P that and seeing my cracked window when getting shot by LBXs :D

  • Man. Nostalgia. I remember using Supernova and pressing enter with all laser weps. Blowin up.

  • Dude, wtc, Mechwarrior 3 had better weapon systems, graphics and audio than Mw4, weapons are so god damn slow in Mw4...

  • Gauss Rifle was so broken.

  • wow

you brought the annihilator to its knees

  • why not show us how you made this variation like you did with your cauldron born

  • I did the same thing with ERppcs. Works as well except I don't run out of ammo.

  • i say keep original sounds, keeps the sound effects good

  • Repeat process - With PPC's and a Warhawk

  • I CANT BELIVE MY MW3 IS LOST D: WHERE CAN I BUY A GOOD ORIGINAL IN THE PHILIPPINES ?!!

  • I just remembered how mechwarrior should feel... I'm ashamed of MW4 now! Must get MW3 back!

  • Okay, dude. He's dead. Save your ammo!

  • With a nice cheat code! Without it, you would burst at the first shot!

  • Ha! I love your celebration shots.

  • I think the most assault set of weapons would be 4 PPC's and 2 Ultra AC 20's. Using a Daishi with a shit load of Double Heat Sinks. Even though my combination would lead my mech to being slow as fuck! haha

  • Pretty nice configuration indeed. I just finished playing MW3 for like the billionth time. It's the whole reason I got my first PC. The disc is scratched, but it still plays good. Although it's rare, I wait for an enemy mech to shut down from heat build up and unleash some Particle Projection Cannon shots at it and blow it to *wonderful* smithereens! ^,,^

  • I forgot how much Annihilators look like Godzilla.

  • BEAST!!!!!!!!

  • My name and my design like 10 years ago, I posted this about 5 years ago on Battletech Wiki, its probably still up there, you can add one PPC to this config in the CTorso as well without any heat issues. Its the best Daishi config for table top and works ok in MW4 but since MW4 had bad hardpoints you have to make 2 of them light gauss.

  • Oh, so was it you from the CBT handbook who made Gausszilla? Awesome. =)

  • its all about the 16 pulse lasers man... particularly if you have rivers on the map.

  • On the site tro42(.)com there is a "Gausszilla II" with SIX Gaussrifles.

Slow as hell, poor armor protection and only 24 rounds, but an insane design (couldn´t be rebuild in the games, however).

  • daaaamn just destroyed those sons of bitches man, i havent played MW3 since it came out.

  • If you alpha strike withe the supernova it explodes.

  • thanks, now i have one

  • Silly Smoke Jaguars... Machine Guns suck.

  • Those aren't machine guns. the Annihilators carry, among other things, four LB10x ACs. Think of them as tank cannons, but instead of one shell it fires a shotgun-like spread of contact grenades. The reason this gauss rifle build works so well is the pilot is destroying the annihilators before they have a chance to get into range and break him into pieces with terrifying ease. That pinging sound you hear is one or two stray shots from the LB10x ACs hitting his Dire Wolf or the ground near him.

  • Oooh, someone knows their stuff, delicious.

  • @DerWaffel The sound of the LB10x-AC is insanely amazing.

  • I nostalgia'd hardcore when I watched this, I used to love the gauss rifle so much

  • @DengarRoth

If I couldn't go with the gauss rifle, I'd pick a PPC. :D

  • @Talbron PPC gives mad heat issues. It's less user friendly than Gauss, but I'd definitely take one of those 2 guns if I had to.

  • @oblivi0ndoll

I really like energy weapons in MechW3. Never ran out of ammo in battle. Though I know I did bathe in rivers during a firefight.

I really wish this game ran on my computer.

  • Holy shit D:

I tried doing that on MW4 with the Daishi, but I used those automatic heavy repeating autocannons, I think you got better results than I did, lol.

  • BUT I PREFFER GAUSS CANON !

  • just 1 word to counter this

    PPC ;D

    we all love our PPC!

  • UAC20s were ridiculous in MW3 as well.

Well, all of the weapons were brutal.

  • MW3 was the one game I absolutely loved Gauss Rifles, in MW2 they fire like Civilwar cannons all slow and crap then in MW4 they are all slow and crap in this game they are just sick and wrong =D

  • dude, you rock.

  • No, you rock!

  • The gauss rifle was overpowered in MW3 by far.

There was also the nuisance of loosing your "arms" and "legs" quite easily.

And the problem with this was that when you loose a leg, the mech is out.

  • You mean where it overloads and amputates you? I think it's fixed if you have a CASE on it.

  • CASE stands for Cellular Ammunition Storage Equipment. The purpose of equipping CASE to a body part is to contain the explosion from ballistic ammunition if the body part in question is compromised. If there's no CASE equipped and a part is destroyed while there is still ammunition stored in it, the chain reaction severely damages and, most of the time, outright destroys you.

Long story short, if you're not storing ammo in it, there's no reason to put a CASE on it. Losing a leg is always fatal.

  • Fully loaded Gauss was definitely my layout of choice in MW3....I liked having it on a Thor or Atlas better, though.

  • OMG can u say WTFPWNED?

  • So Much Recoil xD

  • I know. D= But then again, so much destruction! =D

  • wow the annhi got ass-raped ^^

  • Quite so.

  • I filled up a Daishi with LRM 5s. It's fun to do in single fire, watch the radar too.

  • LRM 5's are the worst LRMs. xD But yes, they are fun to spam.

  • holy fuck that is sweet

  • It sure is. =)

  • Do yo have a joystick? They are much harder to lock on with.

  • Nope, I use the mouse & keyboard.

  • lol, guess I'm not the only one who came up with this Mech design :P

Try all ER PPC's, or all missiles (mainly MRM40s in Pirate's Moon, which is totally awesome). Or if you really wanna get crazy, but 16 flamers, increase the armor on the front part of your mech, and annihilate some mechs :D

  • oh and one more thing. you can fit more gauss ammunition if you decrease the engine size enough. your mech will be slower but it will kick ass for a longer time :D:D:D

  • There's really no reason to add more ammo, that's what MFB's are for. And also, I find all PPC's generate too much heat to be boated, and gauss does way more damage anyways.

  • I guess he mean Gausszilla not Guasszilla

    Nice video

  • Ah, I did spell it wrong didn't I? Ah well, thanks for the comment.

  • MAKE ALL LANCEMATES AND ENEMIES DAISHIS WITH A CUSTOM DESIGN THAT HAS ONLY 16 FLAMERS AND NOTHING ELSE. SIT BACK AND WATCH THE MADNESS. HOPEFULLY IT WORKS.

You're not the only one who can self destruct.

    >:)

  • I've done something similiar before, made them all owens with 8 flmers, works just as well. Mechs go boom!

  • I tried it, and it works pretty good. If any problems at all, the weapon occasionally fires by itself, and some of the screwed up controls may take a while to get used to, but overall its manageable.

  • Good to hear. Happy mech madness. =)

  • I do have a laptop- but playing MW3 on it just doesn't work. Maybe if I tried putting an actual mouse in it...

  • Haha, yeah you should try that.

  • Since MechWarrior 3 on my computer is all screwed up, I always need to play MechWarrior 3 Pirate's Moon. Its good too, with the new Mechs and all, but the campaign on the original MechWarrior 3 just feels better.

  • Ah I've always wanted to play Pirate's Moon. But yeah, hopefully when and if you get a new computer, you can play MW3 again.

  • I love this game- however, my computer doesn't.

  • Yes, since it is such an older game, there are many compatibility issues. Also, the game was a little rushed, so the stability isn't exactly top-notch all the time. (You can see on some mechs if you have the game that the textures are upside-down or other odd things.)

  • i use joysticks playing this

  • I imagine that would add to the simulator feel. My old joystick broke ages ago before I installed this.

  • well i have 2 joysticks now cuz my parents got me a new computer and my other joystick isnt compatable with the xp now i have to use the crummy logitech attack 3

  • Ah bummer... I just use the trusty mouse and keyboard though.

  • define trusty i likes my old joystick better for these games or just use a game pad

  • Holy shit that is one SERIOUSLY pimped out mech! My fave was a madcat armed with pulse lasers and blow off the legs. I always thought taking out a leg means better salvage...

  • Yes, blowing off legs in campaign grants better salvage (and will most likely save you some armor as well!) But this was in instant action. =)

  • Same here. A Madcat with 4 large ER pulse lasers and a maximum of heatsinks. No ammo needed+manageable heat+reasonable speed=one hell of a mech! I loved this game, but my 64bits vista doesn´t:(

  • Sounds like what happens when you turn the audio's volume up too loud in Windows Movie Maker (or anything like that) and it gets fuzzy and warped. My only guess would be to lower the volume in WMM and see if that fixes it.

    Yay, booms!

  • Nah, it's like that directly from FRAPS. I had the same guess and lowered the sound there too... but still no luck.

  • Oh, I know what the problem is, then. When in FRAPs, check to see what audio device it is recording from. Then, go into your Control Panel, and go to the audio devices, and lower the master volume for that device.

  • For the record, I had the same problem too. And with Audiosurf... oh, the music sounded horrid.

  • Chi is all knowing! Sound is fix'd now! -hug-
