Cruz was a very strong character. Yes, she was a mavrick cop. She hurt people. People hurt her. There was no overt political agenda on this show and I think upper class white elietist at NBC got scared of this show because all the main characters were three dimensional with strong points and flaws.

She died a hero just as it should be!

She had leukemia and was going to die anyways so instead of dying at the hands of doctors and nurses, she preferred to die on the job and on her own terms!

Good for her! Honor till the end.

I always cry when I watch this episode.. The first time I saw it, this was so unexpected! I've never imagined this would happen.. I'd like to see a 7th season, but definitely it wouldn't be the same without Cruz.. And things won't work out between Faith and Bosco.. Sad ending for her, from 4th season to 6th, it was her tv show!

The way she went out was brilliant, totally in character. She was tough, she did things her way, she went on her terms. Worked perfectly.

No, at the end of this episode when he threw up on her ( 6x13 "The Other L Word" ) she said to dr. Fields (tall, bald black) "I know what the test showed" He said "it's advanced" and she replied "Very". So she knew this, pity she didn't start the treatment earlier... :(

I didn't like Cruz at first, but she really grew on me & became my favorite female character. I wish her and Bosco would have ended up together. I also wish Third Watch was still on. :(

I agree. This show was fenomenal. I love that they casted people who look like real people, that they didn't put Hollywood Clones for every role. Every character was fantastic and every actor felt perfect for the part... ah man, the tv is emptier without The Third Watch. But this is just my opinion
