I play lots of sports and play yugioh and Pokemon and now the prices are going through the roof in both games and since I am only 11 I do not have a job and I almost never get money except for my birthday could you try and help me out on how to keep the prices down
I'm only a beginner at Pokemon Trading Card Game, but I would like to ask a question.
The answer to this question is probably obvious to others, but how do you manage building a deck with many types? And how many types will you reccommend for a deck?
Is it hard to do BOTH Collage work and Pokemon? I am a freashmen, and souldn't be worring about this, but I really want to be in collage once I finish High school, but I want to stay with Pokemon for as long as I can. I don't want to play competitively(sorry for my spelling) yet, and want to go to the small stuff like Pre-realese, Battle Roads Ext. I just feel I would be in a bind once I hit Collage.

Hey JWittz, I was wondering what you thought about the ridiculous deals on cards that Japan gets. They often get the best, playable cards in (essentially) theme decks, and have ridiculous deal on box sets. I'm talking mainly about Japan's recent Thundurus vs Tornadus box set, where the box has two thirty card decks, and one of Zekrom, Reshiram, Victini, Landurus, Thundurus and Tornadus. Where as here in the states we get Reshiram and Zekrom box sets that have one of each card, with 4 boosters.
Hey jwittz, I am a floridian competitive play (which I have heard is one of the more competitive states) and have a huge weakness, and that is that I am stubborn. i do not like to play mainstream decks (such as Megazone, Reshiphlosion, or Gothitelle) i feel no pride in winning with those decks, so I tend to build strange and unique decks like Mewcario. Do think it is neccisary to play mainstream decks to do well at tournaments?
Hey jwittz. I am a competitive player who has been playing for about 6 years now and collecting since the game came to the USA. I would love to see your views on how to keep a proper mindset at tournaments. For example stamina, making reads, just playing a good mental game with yourself and your opponent. It's a very important factor in competitive play and I feel like the more people think about it the more they will improve there game.

JWittz, the price of Yanmega is incredible high, do you think that it's a good investiment to buy them, with the EX Pokémon don't you think that Yanmega will lose it's going to be like a non-playable card?

@CheezPuffz12 Its really hard deciede. me personally think that Beartic is better, with a vilplume to completly lockdown. But really, i would play reshuplosion if u wanna get good results, alot more people play it, its hard hitting with a self generating energy. Do some more research on both :)
Hey JWittz love your videos. My question regards Catcher: what do you think of decks that revolve around sniping (such as Kingdra+Mandibuzz) when decks like Stage 1s can just catcher up bench-sitters and knock them out for the same effect? Do you think catcher makes these sniping decks inferior to pretty any other deck simply because playing catcher gives the sniping effect? Thanks!
I have a question, maybe for your next Q&A. MY question is although Pokemon has a really big community ranging at several age groups, do you ever get embarrassed if Pokemon is ever mentioned outside of the community? There is an underlaying feeling of anger and spite from some players as well as a lot of competitive play at my local league, which I think I now get because they are also Yu-gi-oh players. It's not the best environment to be around. -_-

Hey Jwittz, I hear there's a card called 'Eviolite' coming out in the next set, basically gives Exoskeleton to basics (-20 damage). Stuff like Zekrom or Tornadus is already dominating, would this just break the game by making them even stronger?

First question is why do you think that when competing with pokemon, you are only allowed to use certain card sets and above, and ur your viewpoint on that.

@zakkbeymaster33 ALL basic energy from any series is allowed. Only reprinted special energy is allowed to be used from older sets (Double Colorless, Rainbow, etc.)

Yeah... from my own experiences, YGO has gotten a lot worse over the years, both from its playerbase and from Konami. I think the game is much more competitive because its insanely expensive, as players are a lot greedier than they are in Pokemon. Though that can be down to Konami's pull rates being terrible. Its why I quit.
My question is: Do you still plan on doing a series based on helping new players get into the game in genera?
Hey J-Wittz I'm new to pokemon and just started playing with the TCG online. None of my friends play pokemon and I seem fine just playing online with theme decks combined with a few cards from packs. In your opinion is it worth it either to buy online codes or try to find friends to play with or introduce my friends to pokemon.

I really appreciate your comment about Yu-Gi-Oh! and I feel exactly the same as you. My local community is not to bad, but at big events like regionals people were insanely competitive. I had way worse times then fun at those events. That was the main thing that turned me away from the game and thankfully a good friend introduced me to Pokemon and Prof-it! and I've been watching ever since.
Why does everyone seem to want bulk so bad? I've seen people trading great cards (Yanmega, Magnezone, Catcher, etc) for mass bulk... is it to complete other people's collections or are they hoping to receive cards that are worth a lot (Charizard Base, EX, etc)... ?

Whats a good rule of thumb for energy in a deck? I find that to be the hardest part of deck building, especially with multiple energy types

Oh yeah, and Archeops too, since it prevents evolving, which disrupts stage 1 or 2 decks, but still not Zekrom and friends.
