Good video. I have altered a few V For Vendetta clips with my own voice over in such a way that makes it blasphemous to the blind leftists who thought the movie could only apply to politicians they hate.
John, with all due respect, your fears are somewhat absurd.
fahrenheit 451- We are on the brink of an intellectual revolution, and book reading is increasing PRODIGIOUSLY.
as much as i believe that Obama is Big Brother, i do not believe that he will be able to implement his government- look at the protests from petty alterations, if he were to take away civil liberties there would be riots.
If this "revolution" were of an intellectual nature as you say, then it should have been correctly comprehended that Mr. Whitehead never expressed a fear of that there is going to be book burnings in our foreseeable future
The relevance of his commentary is that Orwell correctly predicted the implementation of authoritarianism which we are currently experiencing & has been best depicted in cinema by the movies he named
The tyranny can be represented through example depictions such as book burn
i see, but i am saying that book reading causes a mass enlightenment, and i do see an attempt at authoritatrianism being implemented, but the attempts have failed- look at the demonstrations against petty issues caused by Obama, if he were to take a way civil liberties there would be riots.
he did express a fear, that is why he mentioned fahrenheit 451...
My two posts after my 1st reply to you are not replies to your reply which I am addressing now. But rather, all 3 are to your first comment
It's obvious you intend goodness & this is not an opposition to your intentions. However, I believe some of your perceptions are incorrect. A generalized reading of books is the causation of generalized effects. Hardly would society be enlightened if only materials such as Dr. Seuss & the Communist Manifesto were read. Simply reading, in & of itself, only
only causes the readers to read well. If tyrants were to burn books, as did the Nazis, they will burn particular information while preserving books with particularly different information
The greatest failure has been the non existent opposition to much authoritarianism. Marxism is inherently & inescapably authoritarian. Since some time ago, public buses take children to school, they are fed lunch & no tuition is charged. An entire institutionalized system is Marxist. They make many believe its
controlled at the state level. Which if true, would beg the question; "why does there exist Federal educ. bureaucracies & why are we paying their wages & operation costs if they do nothing"? They implemented & oversee "outcome based education". Which is basically designed to produce good little Lemmings that won't question authority even if its corrupt. Gee, what a coincidence, those with authority created a system that causes people to not question authority? Its what comes from Gov provisions
i abhor gubernatorial marxism- i am an economic and cultural marxist, with the exiguous government being agrarian and obviously non-authoritarian in a small state.
( this is only if there must be a state, if not, i am an anarchist).
You cannot have economic Marxism without an authoritarian government. In fact, Marxism is a economic system. But it's requirements cause it to inescapably be paired with a authoritarian form of government
If owning private property is prohibited, then there must exist a authority to implement & enforce the prohibition. But to disallow the ownership of any particular property, is in itself, assuming propriety over that property. It's inevitable that making any such determinations regarding any
property, is by virtue of that controlling, determining action, an establishment of propriety. Thus, there will exist ownership of that property, while others are prohibited from the same. This policy is inherently flawed with a oppressive inequality, enforced by authoritarianism
Since that policy's unjust inequality is inescapable, is one of the reasons why America's founders understood that as a human being on earth, man "was endowed with certain inalienable rights"
For one man denying ownership to another, is the former acting as greater than the latter. Thus, acting in opposition to the recognition of that "all men were created equal"
Marxism is diametrically opposed to the US Constitution/Bill of Rights
Indeed, a true intellectual revolution is necessary if ever the population in general is to realize that many civil liberties have already been eroded by authoritarians through their influential instigation of the populations corrupted behaviors. A corrupt society invites a police state & the corrupters are happy to accept society's invitation
There are 2 parties accountable for liberty denied; the oppressive tempters, & the oppressed who fell into temptation
within a generalized tyranny are those as is Mr Whitehead, whom have resisted the temptation of moral corruption & some, as he, have even been fighting against it on the front lines
The founders warned of this & that a society distanced from its maker would lose the liberty which was gifted to all would be citizens. For "men were endowed by their CREATOR with certain inalienable rights". If humanists proclaim his death, so to must the endowments go with him. Man as ruler has always tyrannized
Big brother can spy through my television set?
