@chrisp20 Boeing offer either the GEnx or the RR Trent 1000. Look at the logo on the engines at 0:34, it's Rolls Royce. They used the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 on this flight because it was launched on-time with the 787 and received certification before the GEnx engine did. So next time please check your facts. Oh, did you like the sound of the engine?
@angelitopr121 The 5 A380 flights I have been on were almost all full with last one to LAX been completely full.
As I said they will serve different markets for airlines both will do well but I think the 787 will outsell the A380 but given the increase in air travel may be not. I am a fan of 757, 787 of Boeing and a fan of the A340 and A318 which is not doing to well(A318) but I do hope that the 747 will give a good run to the A380 again they are all good products
that is true but the airplane is full now cause is new everybody pay to get in the biggest airplane lets see in some years wat is gonna happen everything is god now lets see in the years to come..
The aircraft is full due to demand it has absolutely nothing to do with what aircraft ppl fly on!
I myself take interest in what aircraft I am flying on but it has no Bering on if i will change my flight just so I can fly on a particular aircraft $ has and I doubt that anyone else would either.
Airlines buy aircraft for needs not looks.
A380 cater to particular market just as the 787 will & just any aircraft they both will fly full and empty at times.
AircraftCompare DOTcom provides exact details of around every aircraft in the world from the past present to the FUTURE FLYING CARS, with photos specs price and everything else. Sorry, but AirBuses (AirBusi??) are usually made out of old worn out Boing parts and thus are hard to come by. Maybe they can get parts from China. I had some Chinese parts on my Ford truck that rusted away (oilpan) from the inside out. If I could find the owner of that Chinese company I would squeeze his pencil neck until his fucking eyeballs popped out of his head. G'day!
lol, but if your oilsump rusted from the inside out then I suggest you check for water leaks into your engine, either that or stop filling your oil with water!
Airbus don't work with old Boeing parts at all, that is the most obseen thing I've heard in a long time, I work at Rolls-Royce, Boeing and Airbus are both brilliant companies. Cheers!
@markyyyyyyyy321 BRAVO!!!!!! one of the only correct and intelligent comments on this page.
I agree with you 100% mate, Boeing and Airbus both make brilient products why is it that so many people cant get past there bi-est for what ever reason it is and come to the same conclusion.
My brother in-law flies the A330 for CP and says both companies make Great planes.
my faves are 757-300 with RR or A318 so why cant ppl have there faves either Boeing or A/Bus & be done rather than speaking shit! lol
@markyyyyyyyy321 You work at RR can you tell me why different engines sound differently.
I fly a lot with work and I noticed that some aircraft engines sounds have a winding where some just rumble if you know what I mean when taking off and some don't and I noticed that they are different engine companies.
It's the first flight, Don't want to stress anything. And for a heavy, that wasn't that long of a landing roll. Thrust reversers were disengaged at the 4000' remaining mark. They're just taxing to the end of the runway.
You cant be serious, we love flying because well #1 it is the fastest method of transportation so far and #2 humans cant fly so we build things that can and that in itself is just amazing, getting a few thousand pound object to lift off is a representation of success. What do u think is successful? We always want to design new airplanes to improve their efficiency
Often with jet engines, if it's environmentally freindly it is usually effiecient too. Since it's more efficient it is cheaper to operate and this allows it to sell.
A more slippery effiecient lighter airframe adds to the engines efficiency.
Some companies don't choose to be environmentally freindly, often a world/state regulator will place requirements and standards for the environment.

I think this plane is built to represent the economy wack and failing. Built just like the older planes nd u can tell theres no major difference except maybe the inside works and its deff not top technology. Make planes go mach 1 or 2 and keep regular airline price then everyone will be flying making it to europe in like 3 hours. ANOTHER PIECE OF SHIT PLANE 2 engines 1975 bod Id wipe my ass with it nd id never fly in that JUNK. i havent flown anywhere since concorde i cant stay 11 hours sitting
@alleninpa Can people talk from their but?? wow!! This 787 is a wonderfull piece of design! Sexy and Comfortable. Agressive and Sexy, etc, etc. Airbus or Boeing? I love planes, and want them to be good! I like the looks of this 787. from its design, it looks like it was born to fly. Engines mounted directly on wings, all composite fuselage. Wings are wide and flexible, to naturaly adjust to speed and wing lift. Just like real birds do! I am patiently waiting with urge, to fly on one.
@ladiesman940 wow you dont know how planes work do you... making planes comfortable vs. fast is a huge compromise. The faster the plane goes, the more fuel it needs and the smaller and aerodynamically slimmer it needs to be, thus less space for the passengers. The 787 uses the best technology compared to other planes as of today. It may not be stuff from the 2010 era, but it still is the most technologically advanced of all the planes out there. So before you make accusations look at both sides.
@HanGookBoi He's a eight years old little buy who think he knows everything... He should take a bottle in his butt so it stop making shit like that XD
what the hell are you talking about this plane is made out of carbon fiber and composite matierials rather than the older materials (usualy aluminum) carbon fiber costs a bit more but, it makes the plane a hell of a lot stronger and lighter
@ladiesman940 you've obviously never researched this plane before, next time before you leave an idiotic comment, Know what you're talking about first...

@angelitopr121 What makes the B787 better than the A380, you do know that they are different classes of aircraft.
B787 is yet to prove itself.
How is Boeing any better than Airbus like markyyyyy321 says " Boeing and Airbus are both brilliant companies"
each may have favorite aircraft but the company's both very good aircraft builders.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) Why do we always want to design new aeroplanes?
(3) Why do we think that building new aeroplane is a representation of success?
(4) What do we prove through designing and building new aeroplane?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

And finally we prove that we are always increasing our intelligence in fields that are relatively new.

For me, success of aviation means we can overcome challenge during the development process of building a new aeroplane.
What do you think?
applesweeter 2 years ago
It's not psychology, it's business.
Businesses need to say ahead of the competition, so you could say that competition is what drives progression..
We don't just design planes for the fun of it, we design them to make money.

Yes, we are making aeroplane for money.
What do you think about the following statement:
"We keep on making new and better aeroplane because we want to operating our aviation industry in an environmentally friendlty way"

Do you think that passengers prefer and choose to fly on a 787 because they concern the environment?
applesweeter 2 years ago
Most passengers don't have that choice, however some people like myself deliberatly book a flight on a particular aircraft.
Passengers aren't directly concerned with the environment, rather how comofortable the seats are, the cost of the fare, the quality of the food.
I wouldn't be disapointed flying on the 787 though.
