every other person believes something different, yet we all condemn those who oppose our beliefs. you go to my hell, I'll go to yours...there's just no logic behind it people! this, in itself, completely spoils the concept of religion for me. it's like trying to win passage into the cool kids tree house, or pledging to be member of the most popular fraternity, or drinking the kool-aid (don't drink the kool-aid)...well, you know what? as Nancy (from Sid & Nancy) once said...

The bible was written in the vernacular. At the time it was written. Luke+John=greek Matt+John=Hebrew. It was available to the communites for centuries, but remmebr, there were other versions floating around to. You are a smart guy lionheart. And I in no way mean to judge you, because you have come to these conclusions from personal experience and feeling. But it appears to me that when the case for God does logically make sense, you fall back on your personal feelings. What if He is testing you

redhead, even if I did accept there was a god, it wouldn't do me any good cause there is no way I could even figure out which god is the right one, and when aspects such as heaven and hell lie in the balance, that becomes a very important question. When talking about a god with the christians I notice that they always start with the assumption that if a god does exists then by default it is automatically their god.

Well for one sec lets suppose god did exist. Lets not cal it god but the Uncaused Cause, which created the universe and all its laws. The basic questions are a. is it a being?, and 2 would it reveal itself? 3. Is christanity worshiping the right God?(Inferring that it can be known even today) I say it must be a being because something exists rather than nothing, therefore the uncaused cause must of chosen to create, and how can something choose to create if it is not a being. Crap,charcter limit

1. there is no way you can know if it is a being, a force, or even a natural cause that we simply don't know about yet. 2. I haven't seen it reveal itself yet, so if this being did exist so far we could only hope that it is a diestic kind of god. 3. Given the assumption that there is a creator (or god) all that we know is there is at least one being that created things. I don't see how anyone can narrow this being down to a particular diety or god.

when I talk about the evolution of the soul I mean that the catholic faith has declared that the soul never evolved that it was always fully formed and present. Felt I needed to clarify that. :)
