@6Hendrik The sticking for the "Boston Lick" is RLRRLLRRLRLLRRLL. In other words, it's one half of a single paradiddle followed by a five stroke roll. The proper name for the term (according to Jeff Queen) is the "paradiddle-five stroke". I use it ALL the time. Search "Jeff Queen Paradiddle Five Stroke" and you will find a video of Jeff Queen explaining the rudiment, and also showing some different exercises to help improve it. Hope this helped!
@blight4hire nah hes alternating single strokes between the tom and kick, basicly using the tom as his first bass drum and actual bass drum as his second
my dream is to have a drum. but we are poor.. what do you call about that drum? its not too big its not a too small.? then what do you call that drum?
@RitterMethod.yups..but lick who mike played is very different with the rudiment.I want to know what combination of hands and feet or hi hat. tx very much
anyone hear that high pitched ring / after tone on his bass drum .... not liking that at all ...surprising since mike`s drums usually sound pretty good
hey mike recently i've come up with a lick. its a 16note lick, but once i play on the kit it doesn't sound tht good enough though maybe is because i can't play "nicely".... so i was hoping if u can enlighten me on how to play this lick nicely around the kit... the lick is RLKK RLRL KKRL KKRL... it would be lovely if u post it on youtube^^

i think he's just hitting the bass drum and floor tom together at the same time to get that deeper sound that can be thought of as double bass
